Very large, male Newfoundland dog, aged eight and a quarter Five months ago, and follow-up

The dog (Samson) had a twisted gut and needed an emergency operation. I was not a client of the Animal Veterinary Centre, Ramelton, and they had never heard of me. However, a friend who was a client rang them on my behalf, and they took the dog in after the surgery had closed, and worked on him until late in the evening and checked up on him through the night. It was touch-and-go, and they saved his life. The two vets, Ludwig and Heidi, work enormously hard, are very skilled and have a great feeling for animals. This communicates itself to the animals – at least it did to Samson – and I think must make a big difference in emergency cases. I have subsequently had other good experiences with the Centre (Samson, again, and also my cat, Diana). The Centre's charges are reasonable and are clearly stated in advance. The premises are a bit cramped, but the waiting room is like a pet-owners club. The whole atmosphere is excellent and very reassuring. I would strongly recommend this veterinary practice to anyone in search of quality treatment for their animal.

Brilliant vets. Saved my cats life twice now, and my mothers (who's was late at night). Not expensive at all, caring, kind. minimal waiting time. Would never use another vet even though there is 1 closer to us (who wanted 250 euro to see my cat the last time she was ill - but this surgery took 70! and 40 euro today when it should have been much more).

Ridiculously expensive.telephone quotation for combined vaccination and microchip was not honoured when paying The price quoted 35 euros for each pup was not the price charged they demanded 120 euros I was very taken aback they refused to listen and advised me to go to ATM machine toget more money. Being a pensioner money is tight I certainly would not have had my puppies treated if I had been advised of this exhorbitant price The surgery is quaint but very basic no privacy .All my business was discussed in front of all the people in the waiting area .as this also the reception area I was never so humiliated in my life.
