  Great service here. I found staff to be knowledgeable, helpful and very clear with explanations. The work was carried out in a timely fashion and charged at a very fair rate.

  Went to have a CV joint and boot replaced. Car was in the garage all day, that evening I called and they told me they had got the wrong part. My car had to stay overnight.
  The next evening as they were closing they called to say it was ready. I paid €200 and drove it out of the garage only to notice the same clicking sound on full turning (the same as before it went in).
  I returned the next when they reopened to tell them the car is no different than before I brought it in and I'm €200 out of pocket, never mind the hassle of being left stranded in Galway due to they're negligence. I was told once again to leave it with them. I called just before they closed that evening to see what the story was, they said they were unable to resolve the problem and that the rattle was coming from the gearbox. He recommended a reconditioned gearbox for just below €1000 or a new one for €1200-€1500.
  I knew my gearbox was 100% sound, it was an excuse just to see the back of me. Angrily I left and brought my car to another independent mechanic who showed me the underside on the lift. The CV joint and boot were clearly never replaced as it was warn, leaking fresh grease and by no means new. My independent mechanic replaced the parts and the problem did not persist.
  2.5 years later and over 100000km on, my gearbox it still 100% sound. I never got around to reviewing my experience with these lying cowboy technicians that have the nerve to call themselves mechanics, but AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

  ,Always find the guys here reliable and trustworthy. Have been going to advance for a number of years and never had any problems. I believe they have a high standard to keep up. Nice guys too.

  First visit: Went in for a full service under a month ago. Everything checked out except a new fan belt was needed. 185.99€
  
  Second visit: Went in the next day for the fitting. There was no record of our exchange the previous day, and couldn't tell me anything about the car or the part needed despite John promising me that the part would be in tomorrow (He was off this day). 0€
  
  Third visit: 1 week later- I called in at 9:00am to check they had the part for my car. Just to be clear, the mechanic told me *OVER THE PHONE* that they had the exact fan belt for my Micra and would perform a fitting when I got there! So I drove to the place, got there at 11:00 & handed in the keys, waited until 2:00, guess what ol' Michael had for me? "We ordered the wrong part for the car! Oops! Could've happened to anybody I guess, oh well! Come back the next day!" 0€
  
  Fourth visit, another week later. Called at 9:00am, explained my situation and recent history with the garage, and was told the part would be delivered at 1:00pm. Why didn't they have it already? It's been three weeks already! How hard is it to record paying customers? Arrived shortly before 1:00pm and was told that the delivery would not be at 1 but at 4:00pm. Oh well, these things happen I guess! The keys were handed in at 3:45 and they finished at 5:45pm. To their credit, they did the fitting and had the right part. 65€
  
  I have had a good experience with this company in Waterford and Limerick (Repairs, service, NCT) and I wish I could give them the 5 stars. My experience in Headford was not satisfactory. I was compelled to drive to the shop four times when I should have just gone twice. A lot of my time was wasted because this place is disorganised.
  
  While the mechanics at Headford came across as individually sincere and attentive, when I went to the store on three successive occasions after the first time, the employees could not locate any previous record of my problems- despite speaking with them over the counter AND over the phone AND after receiving assurances that my problem was being looked after. We had to start from scratch with my difficulties on every day I went there.

  2015 Went in for a full service and pre NCT. told me i needed new brake lines, new exsaust, wipers and bulbs. then said that car needed new head lamps which wud cost another 120euro due to condinsation on front which i declined to get done. charged me over €650 for everything. car passed anyways. They had the car for 2 days as they didnt store the parts on site. They are a money racket best to shop around!

  GET YOUR PRICES CONFIRMED IN WRITING OR TEXT
  Went to get front discs and pads fitted, phoned to get a price and was quoted 180 - max of 230 euros depending on disc diameter. booked in for the job to be done. when i went to collect the car there was a price of 260 euros on the job. No extra work was needed on the car bar what I requested. had to haggle to get it down to 240 euros.
  Gave the opportunity to get the job at the price quoted and no bad review, but was declined by the person taking the money.
  Shop around and check elsewhere before you use here, maybe there are better prices there with a more transparent pricing structure.

  Booked the car in for a pre NCT check over the phone. Instead they did a full service, charged me for it (had to pay €80 more than I had planned on), insisting that it was my fault as I didn't clarify what I wanted done on the car when I dropped it off. (Apparently when they take bookings over the phone, they don't bother to note what the customer has asked to be done on the car)
  
  On top of that, my car STILL failed the NCT because they managed to miss the fact that two of my tyres were bald! (If they managed to miss two bald tyres, who knows what else they missed)
  
  Awful service and they're extremely disorganised. Avoid like the plague.
