Great scenery. Very nice and peaceful, especially when the sun is shining and the wind isn't blowing too hard. Been here a few times and I will be back a few more.
1 good island if you want to go for a swim you may heard of keel beach but there is a better beach call keem just down the road just keep going straight through keel and you will finally get to keem its a blue flag beach and a lovely beach hope you enjoy
Fabulous scenery and friendly people, first time to visit and will definitely be back.
Island, joined to the mainland by a permanent bridge, us off the west coast of Mayo, and is a fantastic place to be, at any time of the year. Lots for adults and children to do, especially in Keel, with water activities topping the list. Amazing history on the island, and, if you're up for a spot of hill walking, you won't be disappointed.
Try and spend a full day or weekend here, it's very relaxing and there is plenty to do and see. Going around the island will take you approx 1 day with a car.
Try to stay around Keel town if staying overnight, there are plenty of little cafes and restaurants.
Bayside bistro was very nice in Keel, friendly staff and very good food, with a view!
