Mr. Widya and his son Dede are very warm and helpful when we are practice making batik. Mr. Widya explained all the knowledge about batik, how to make a good batik, etc.. We had a great time and experience.

Wonderful experience. Widya and his team offer a calm, supportive workshop to create your own batik piece. Dozens of templates and stamps to choose from or draw your own design. They will help apply the wax if you are a novice like me. A good selection of colours available for painting. It is wonderful to see the colours become vibrant in the fixing process. Fresh bottled water and all materials supplied. They also offer a variety of Indonesian dishes for purchase at lunch time. I'll be back next time I visit Bali!

우붓에서 10일동안 머무르면서 많은 것들을 했는더 그중에 바틱페인팅이 하나였고 여섯시간동안 힘든작업이지만 집에와서 보니 너무멋진 작품이며 뿌듯하고 수업받는동안 이런저런 발리 문화에대해 선생님이랑 애기하고 너무좋았어요 다시가게된다면 또 다른작품을 하고싶어요

Un très grand moment pour nous à Ubud aujourd’hui grâce à ce couple d’artistes du batik.
Ils nous ont fait découvrir cette technique étonnante et aussi permis de partager l’intimité chaleureuse d’une famille balinaise, dans un cadre de bonheur où les animaux eux-mêmes jouent un grand rôle.

Magnífica experiencia, de 9 a 16. Buenos profesionales, te enseñan la técnica primero sobre una tela pequeña y luego sobre la grande. Eliges un dibujo de los muchos que tienen o haces el tuyo. Al principio cuesta manejarse y no hacer errores pero los profes son muy buenos y trabajan sobre tu lienzo con ideas y sugerencias.
A mediodía te ofrecen traerte la comida de algún sitio próximo y está muy bien pues esta rica y así sigues trabajando.
Luego, viene la magia al pasar la tela por el líquido de fijar y el agua hirviendo que elimina la cera.
Impresionante !!! La dejan secar y te la llevas en una bolsita se celofán.
Puedes comprar materiales a buen precio.
No hace falta que seas un/a artista, es suficiente con tener ganas de pasar un día intenso aprendiendo.response / report this review -

This is a very unique experience and very rewarding as you leave with something uniquely your own. It is a solid 6-7 hours where you learn everything from start to finish. The staff are friendly and you work out of their family home, and you can even order lunch cooked fresh. We had a fantastic time and will come back when we visit Bali next time and hopefully our batik skills get better each time.
