  The view of the sunrise and the crater is quite nice from here. It's safer than any other viewpoint in this area no matter how many people is present

  We walked up the hill from our Hostel. About 2 km, we started at 03.00 and walked very slowly uphill. Very doable but bring a Flashlight not only to see where to step but as well to show the many (very polluting) jeeps that you are walking there. It is surprisingly cold up in the mountain (10 degrees). Bring cloves and other warm things. The view was breathtaking but I am not 100% sure you have to see it at sunrise. I think it will look the same during the day time. I assume there will be no one during the day. However before sunrise we did manage to take some pictures of the stars above Bromo (long shutter time). That was super neat.

  Totally worth it! You need to go uphill for about 1km ( you'll feel it in your heart) but the views are stunning!

  Second choice view sunrise point in bromo, after penanjakan one. Seruni location not far from cemoro indah hotel, about 1 km. You will enjoy amazing lanscape of bromo mount and batok mount, semeru mount, and sea of sand bromo.

  Viewpoint from north side of Tengger Caldera across B29 Lumajang viewpoint. It's the viewpoint to see "Cemoro Lawang" village. Take route from Gubuk Klakah(Tumpang) village and it will lead you there.
  It is very exhauting to get to the top since the slope it's very steep, especially when it is raining, since the slope will become slippery. But there are horseman who offer to take you to the middle then you must continue to hike hundreds of stairs. After that "little" hike, there is always magnificent view awaits you that will blow off your fatigue. Be prepared to be amazed by the so-called "Best-sunrise-you-ever-seen" view.

  This is one of interesting spot to see sunrise beside penanjakan 1 or penanjakan 2.
  It's quite high to climb, but you can ride horse if you feel you can not climb it.

  The best point to watch the Sunrise in the National Park Bromo Tengger Semeru. You have arrived at the point in the early days before the dawn. You can take a beautiful photos at the point, you will see the top of Mount Bromo below your position.

  Great views over the mountains and Mt. Bromo. We hiked up at 3:30AM from Cafe Lava and were up there by 4:20. No headlamps needed, phone flashlights are enough.
