Wina Holiday Villa hotel is a beautiful hotel in the style of Bali in Kuta. It has several hinduistic offering places where there is made an offering 3 times a day. The personnel is discreet and very nice.

It has 2 swimming pools, air conditioned rooms and a nice Shower where you will find a rain shower (big shower head) and a normal shower. The toilet is clean and made of micro ceramics (sorry i'm a bit nerdy) and the a shower to clean you privates. The hotel has 3 floors and no lift. The rooms on the second and third floor have a balcony (at least the ones near the swimming pool, I did not check all the rooms)

The luggage will be ported to your room which has an excellent air conditioning a television and a telephone. WiFi was strong, but you loose your connection some times but this also happened in other hotels in Indonesia.

The location is about 200 meters from the very busy boulevard of Kuta and this results in a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. So when you like to submerge in the hectic world of Kuta just walk about 200 m and have fun.

The restaurant is well equipped with both indonesian food and western food.

The service is excellent I had some problem in my room and within less then 15 minutes they solved it .

Washing of clothes was done quickly (last about one day) and the clothes where clean and delivered on the agreed time (just before I had to leave)

There is a book exchange near the swimming pool where you can take a book to read in many different languages, a fitness room(air conditioned)
and near the fitness room there is also a wel equiped shower, and male and female restrooms to be used foor people who are allready checked out and have to wait for the airport taxi, so you can start your journey fresh and clean.

the beach is also about 200 meters walking and looks quite nice!

Just a top hotel and totally not like americanized standard hotels you might find elsewhere.

I will go back again for certain.

The bedroom is well-made and the hotel itself is amazing but if you're having breakfast, you should really avoid coffee since the coffee is pretty crappy here. But overall I'm enjoying my nights in Bali.

Stylish hotel. They clean every day. 2 minutes by walk to the Kuta beach. Breakfast could be more varied. Beautiful garden inside the hotel.

    Staff
The majority of the staff were very nice and helpful, though some struggle with English. Only 2 or 3 seemed rude or checked-out.

    Location
The resort is located down an alley that exits directly to the main road that runs along Kuta Beach. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, 7-15 minute walk to everything else on the strip. Walking down the blind alley felt a little sketchy at night, and there are ALWAYS 2-7 men standing at the entrance harassing you about booking a taxi. I wouldn't feel safe letting my wife walk alone.

    Amenities

Restaurant- Decent food, surprised by the quality of even the late night room service. Daily free breakfast was good as well, though only a few items rotate so it gets boring eating the same food every day.

Bars- the bars are vexing to me. There is a bar NEAR the pool and a swim-up bar IN the pool. The mixed drinks *taste* good but clearly have little/watered-down booze in them though each drink is an average of $8-12 USD. Definitely not worth the prices. I had 4 different drinks in an hour and didn’t feel a thing. Another HUGE issue with their bars is that you can't charge anything to the room, unless you first leave a *cash deposit* with the front desk. Also, you can't open ANY kind of tab. So unless you just leave a ton of cash with the front desk to be used as a deposit (which nobody even mentioned when we checked in), you have to pay for each drink each time you order. Because you can't charge to the room and nobody sets up the cash deposit, the swim-up bar goes unused all day because no one is swimming with money in their pockets.

Spa- the spa was great. If you've never had a Bali full body massage before then prepare for an hour of getting your butt and upper thighs squeezed and probed. The spa feels legit and all, but I still spent the 1.5 hour COUPLES massage worried that the masseuse was going to slip a digit into me since 2/3 of my backside was exposed and her hands were all over. It makes for a nervous yet memorable time. If you're uncomfortable with your body, the full-body isn’t for you.

    Room cleanliness
Tropical area, expect geckos roaming around your room at night and the occasional roach coming up through the drain. However, don't expect the cleaning staff to wipe the gecko poop off of the walls. The cleaning staff does an OK job of tidying up the room, but during Our 7 day stay we watched the poop smears really start to add up. Very noticeable and easily cleaned with a few wipes of a damp rag, but no. In the room they initially had set up for us with roses on the bed and a basket of fruit (I paid an extra $350 usd to upgrade the room for our honeymoon) we walked into the room to find literal PILES of gecko/mouse feces in the room corners, under the bed and on the carpet. It was horrible. I demanded my money back immediately, but they instead put us in a different room (quick to take your money, desperate to keep it by any means necessary). Plus, the "special" room they had set up for us/charged us for was right up against a construction site and was literally vibrating and shaking the whole time we were there. In contrast, a resort in Phuket last year upgraded us to their best possible room for free as a surprise because it was our DATING ANNIVERSARY. There’s a bar for outstanding service, and Wina is taking a nap somewhere underneath it.

Our initial experience with this hotel went from nightmare to OK. There are certainly better places in the area, but if you're just looking for a cheaper basic room and a nice pool in this area, then Wina isn't the worst option. I would absolutely recommend going somewhere else if you are in Bali celebrating a special event or even looking for a good "resort" experience, and if Wina can fix all of their issues then they could someday be a great choice. But for now they are just too convoluted, overpriced and below-average to earn more than 3 stars or my recommendation.

It's decent and has all the normal necessities expected from a hotel. The pool is nice and the breakfast was good. The hotel wasn't luxurious but it wasn't bad either. I gave it an extra star because I really liked the decor (but that's dependent on personal taste, of course)

Very nice people. Loved our stay. Very accommodating and pleasant. Small rooms, but great service. Everything you need is here. Exchange cash outside for best returns for your money. Most visitors from Australia. Dinner is always fresh and breakfast was included in our package. Pay extra if u want rooms done every day. Free wifi, bit slow and often lose connection but again, it free. Thank you Wina Holiday Villa for making our vacation wonderful. Did i mentioned the great employees. I came from Orlando, Florida, USA. None of the places stayed or visited were handicap friendly. No elevator! No ramps!

You get what you pay for. Very cheap, service is just okay. Rooms were clean, but very basic and old. Location is a little off the beaten path, but still close to the action. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

This was the cheap option for our group close to the action, and it was great value. Some issues with the toilet - the maintenance guys didn't see there being an issue with there being now seat! But apart from that the foot and service were very good.

Dirty and low on quality hotel, with cockroaches and rats. Of course you can change rooms but for what - to get more roaches? Staff says "sorry" but don't do much about keeping the place. Rooms are smelly, dirty and poorly maintained. If they appear in your room to clean it don't think much about it - running with a wet rug doesn't do anything. Plumbing is in terrible condition - sometimes toilets and washbasins can get clogged. Swimming pools are small, food is tasteless and dull - every day the same.
AC works - noisy and sometimes innefectual. Setting it belowe 20 is not the same as doing it on normaly working AC.
Remember not to exchange money in hotel - their exchange rates are lower than those in banks and they often whine about "how your dollars or euros are broken".
Maybe , in the past, it was nice hotel but not now.
This is not one opinion. Some guests changed the hotel to another because they couldn't stand such a low standard.

Good, but could be better. 24 hrs room service, free shuttle into Kuta Centre, across the road from beach, two pools and 10% discount at restaurant. Rooms were a bit tired; bathroom and sheets. Front desk tried to charge for phone call we didn't make but were able to resolve it for us. Great staff and relaxing atmosphere!
