A university with teacher's union name on it, as you'd guess it's major is dominated by education oriented major serving to train would be teachers.

There are 4 faculties in this college, economics, agriculture, tech, and education & teaching. In Economics Faculty there are two majors, Accounting and Management. Both Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Technology only have one each, Agritechnology & Information Engineering respectively. Last but not least (in fact it's the biggest faculty) is Faculty of Education and Teaching. It has eight majors, History Education, Civics Education, Indonesian Language & Literature Education, English Language Education, Mathematics Education, Guidance & Counselor, Elementary Teaching, & Difable Education.

This university had grown from it's humble beginning as Education and Teaching Institute. Years ago, as it's environment was undeveloped the students study in their class accompanied by the sound of tractor from nearby paddy field. Community College would describe best it past, but now it had grown with four facultieas and around five thousand students. While the growth is amazing, a lot of things still expected from it.

In this university you may find it's historical replicas made by History Education students fascinating. They called it Museorium Sejarah UPY, you may also find it in google maps.

The only public transport going to this university is Trans Jogja. From Ngabean there is 6B (to Gamping) and 10 (to UMY). From Gamping there is 6A which will bring you to Ngabean.
