**disclosure**" I'm NOT in any way affiliated to this business. I'm simply a very satisfied customer.
I've been coming to Union since January 2017 because of a friend’s recommendation. It is one of the best if not THE best carwash in Makassar. Yes, they are pricey; on average they charge twice your regular carwash elsewhere BUT you also get twice (or even more) the satisfaction. For a complete package that includes interior + exterior + underbody cleaning, wheel polish, car freshener & four (four!) paper floor mat, expect to pay Rp.100.000 to Rp.200.000 depending on the size of your car. As of September 2017, city cars/ hatchbacks like SX4, Fiesta etc are considered small cars (Rp.100k). MPVs like Avanza/Xenia, Mobilio/BRV, etc are medium (Rp.125k). Big cars such as Pajero, Chevy Trooper, etc are charged Rp.150k. For even bigger vehicles, they put Rp.200k on their pricelist. If you agree to put their sticker on your car, they'll give you 15% discount on washing package the next time you come. To me, this is the most logical use of car stickers. I mean, hey business owners, if you’re not giving me any discount, DON’T YOU DARE PUTTING STICKERS ON MY CAR!
Back to topic. They also offer many other services, such as tune-up, oil change, AC cleaning, electrical & mechanical repair, etc. But as with their carwash, all of their services are twice (sometimes 3 times) as expensive so be careful about the additional services they offer you. For everything else, you can find cheaper place that offers the same thing (I learned this the hard way…). But the carwash ‘though, did I mention they’re worth it? Ask any regular customers there and you’ll find similar answers. I’ve seen a Range Rover Evoque, a Porsche, lots of Mercedes Benzes, BMWs, Jaguars, Land Cruisers, Vellfires, and the like, as well as Avanzas, Brios, and any other “regular” cars coming in and out this place.
This is a family-run business that expands into 3 generations. I’ve only personally known the current managers, Ce Merry and Ko Hendrik, whom I believe are the 2nd gen. First time I met her, Ce Merry strikes me as a very straightforward person but she actually is very warm once you know her. Ko Hendrik, the husband, is also a nice person to have a chat with, especially on automotive-related stuff. On several occasions, Ko Hendrik even gave me a small drink free of charge.
In any day, Ce Merry would personally clean your car's interior along with 3 other. Ko Hendrik manages traffic of the cars in the area since their place is quite crowded and there's only 1 door for in and out. Go to any other carwash and I bet you the owners are not doing the dirty work themselves. At those places, maybe you can see the owners behind the cashier, if you’re lucky; NOT at Union. At Union, Ce Merry and Ko Hendrik see themselves as workers first, and as owners later.
If Union lacks anything, it would be the waiting room. There's no room; only plastic chairs lined in front of the office. Luckily there is a toilet tucked in the corner of the workshop. On a bad day, I can barely take a breath there since exhaust fumes from the cars being worked on + mixture of every chemicals being used there choke me so bad. Two large fans on the ceiling are hardly effective. Sometimes while waiting for my car, I would have a stroll outside or even left my car for a few hours. They'll take your number and they'll call you once your car is done.
In a busy day, you can see 10 workers in addition to Ko Hendrik and Ce Merry busy at their stations. I’ve almost never seen the workers have a chit-chat while working. This is the reason I like Union very much: the professionalism. Yes, maybe that’s because their bosses are always around, but that’s exactly my point; they focus into your car, not anything else. This is why I agree to pay their high price; there is a sense of proud and professionalism. Those are the source of utmost satisfaction that you feel when having your car slowly emerge from the mud and crud into a beautifully glistening and nicely perfumed second home.

Cuci mobil paling bersih, karna menggunakan semir khusus, sehingga kalo mobil kena hujan, tidak akan tertinggal jamur yg membekas. Tapi kekurangannya agak mahal
