Best bread in town! More expensive than most bakery but it is worth the price
I ate here a few times already and they are quite consistent with the food quality and service. The pastas are tasty and this time I ate the crispy skin salmon which is delicious! The skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked nicely and the sauce is good. The desserts are must try, especially the red velvet cake and pie! The place is always busy and crowded. I always come back for the good food and desserts!
nice place, good food, best red velvet cake and worth the price
Best cake. Wouldn't suggest other than cakes tbh but the pasta still worths. And price for cakes is equal to taste.
Finally can try their food and cocktail, so great. Their ambience really nice for hangout.
Union is one of those restaurants and bar that serves contemporary and experimental cocktails. It's been one of the places for the hip crowd to hang out. It's best to make a reservation as they're crowded most of the time.
On this visit, I had their Black Angus Filet Mignon and it was quite good. My only concern is why they gave a lot of ketchup as it would ruin the taste of the meat.
Their cocktails are okay. I didn't try any of their signature cocktails unfortunately.
this is actually my third time here. I tried their Mac & Cheese, it tasted pretty good but needs more seasoning, because I like my mac n cheese to be savory. For the drink, I tried their earl grey tea, and again, very satisfying. While waiting for my meal, they gave me four slices of complimentary baguette & butter. The server is very accomodating and friendly. Their bakery to go is also very great, my personal favorite is custard brioche. Would be glad to come back here again!
p.s.: the place is very crowded almost at every hour, so expect to be put on the waiting list!
Finally had chance to visit this place again. It was a lovely experience. Food were exquisite. Service was on point and pleasing. Definitely a place worth returning for.
Red velvet cake at another level. A must try. Place is too cramped & super crowded. Meal portions are small. Bit pricey. Two entrances: from inside Sogo & outside.
This place is crazy good, really. Loved the pasta - they sold out on spicy squids which I wanted at 7pm, and took mushrooms instead. The atmosphere was awesome, it was vibrant, fresh and energetic. Tried Red Velvet as was recommended and it was delicious! Though I didn't fancy the caramelized toppings. 😀 You should visit if you're in town. 3 of us spent ard IDR 668,000.
Got my table faster than advised. Chocolate soufflé was so fluffy and sweet. Ambience was relaxed, pleasant and groovy. Staff were affable. Likely to be back.
Nice place to hangout. Good food and coffee. Their wine selection is also good. The only reason it is not five stars is because they don't have dedicated non smoking area, therefore a lot of times i can't go there with family for dinner or coffee after 4 pm.
Love the interior design, natural lighting from glass window. Spacing between tables are quite narrow.
Services were good, pastas were aldente, taste were okay a bit on the bland side for us indonesians.
Red velvet cake was great, i don't understand why cake with red food coloring can be so hype, but the taste was delicious. Considering sharinf 1 slice for 2 or 3. After finishing your main course, it's nearly impossible to finish 1 slice of cake by yourself.
Do come early, or make reservation if possible.
We came just after they open, and ini 30-40 minutes, they were full-house.
The cakes in union is really good! Cakes like red velvet cheesecake and red velvet cakes are really recommended! They also have decent steaks and tasty pastas! Must try when in Jakarta!
This restaurant only accommodates smokers. After 5pm patrons can light up like a chimney. This restaurant doesn't even bother to allocate a non-smoking section for non-smokers. What an unpleasant dinning experience.
Great place for drinks, lunch or dinner. I had the crispy salmon it was fantastic. They also have an extensive range of cocktails. I highly recommend this place.
Went here with a group of four on a Sunday. There was a queue and we had to wait for about 20/30 minutes before being seated. Our time limit was 90 or 120 minutes or so, I can't remember. The service was good enough and the food was alright. My fried chicken was a bit greasy and the mac & cheese was bland and unsalted. The other meals we ordered: something with pork belly, a salmon dish (which provided stomach sickness not long afterwards), a burger, and two slices of cake were merely ok too (carrot cake frosting was too sweet and the cake a bit dry). I think the best thing we had were the nachos. It was good, but I wasn't blown away by it seeing the popularity of this place. Prices are quite high as well.
What I love: the cakes, especially the red velvet. They do make the best red velvet, soft moist, flavorful. What I like: the natural light coming from the glass doors and ceilings, and the savory dishes. What I don't like: cramped seating. What I hate: snob waiters and the fact that usher will tell straight ahead that you have limited time at the cafe as she shows you the seat.
