Not much people knows this place. People probably know this place as SMECO Building. Aside of renting place for wedding or other event, it also open shop for indonesia's traditional craft such as batik, rattan craft, pandan carpet, jati furniture, etc.

They offer best local product and have finest quality. Their quality is the same as branded quality. To my surprise, everytime I visit here, it seems very few people browsing around and go shopping in UKM Gallery. I wonder why?

Perhaps lack of branding and promotion, lack of offering special bonus or big discounts? Or the place is difficult to reach due to high traffic jam nearby? It is sad though to see such great products but not many people eager to buy from UKM Gallery. Compare to people seem prefer buying branded imported goods.
