Toko Andalas is categorized as the old souvenir center in the mid-town of Banjarmasin.
It mainly provides various indigeneous snacks of the city which rarely can be found in any other city.
The waitress service is nice, the price is fair, and most importantly it offers rare items which is difficult to find in other places.response / report this review -

A good option to buy local snacks and souvenirs of Banjarmasin. But the payment is cash only. There are several ATMs of local banks (BNI, BRI, etc) across the street in case you are running out of cash.

One-stop shopping for souvenirs from South Kalimantan.
This place sells mostly snacks (amplang, Banjarese fried fish chips) but lately, they also sell products made of rattan, accessories (bracelet and necklace) and t-shirts.
The shop has always been crowded few days prior to and after Eid.
Suggestion: it would be better if the shop provides price tags for each of the item they sell. That way customers will figure out how much they have spent.response / report this review -

Would be a 5* if they give the price tag to every goods. People need to ask to the shop assistant in order to know the price. The location pretty easy to find too. I love how they repackage, makes practical :)

This shop could be an alternative to find Kalimantan's souvenirs if you don't have much time to go to Martapura while visiting Banjarmasin.
This shop sells mostly famous food of Kalimantan such as crackers (we call it "amplang"), many kinds of traditional chips, "saluang" (little fish from Kalimantan's river, fried already), "dodol" (glutinous cake from durian), etc. Mostly are durable food. If you want fresh food, you should find it at other places.
In a small quantity, this shop also sells gemstones jewelries, rattan bags, sasirangan clothes and other souvenirs. The prices are fixed, higher than the shops in Martapura, but cheaper compared to other souvenir shops in Banjarmasin. We could also ask them to pack and wrap the souvenirs so we could easily bring the package or send the package directly to our relatives.
The location is close to the central of Banjarmasin, however you need to ask the place to local people in order not to get lost.response / report this review -
