My girlfriend and I went on a 3 days jungle trek with the guide Ren from Thomas' company. It was a great experience - Ren is a really great and humble guy who likes to laugh and knows so much about the jungle's plants and animals which made everything much better. We are vegan and the food was amazing! Also way too many fruits during the day :). Thomas kept our money safe in his locker like promised and we were very satisfied with everything.
In case Ren is busy ask to meet your guide first to see you have a good connection.

Great resort. They also guide me into the jungle to see orangutans. The guide was really friendly. Thry also help me to organize my trip to Tanhakhan.

It was really nice stay. Jungle trek was just amazing - Tambrin is great guide and Olo Is the best cooker - I've had maybe the best meal of my life in the jungle for dinner. Also the night in the jungle was fun. Rooms at Thomas retreat are clean, not very hot - there are fans. I would prefer maybe less European meals in the restaurant and more of really local food. The food was good, but if you want something really local you better go to the city. Otherwise the banana pancake for breakfast is right choice for you! :)

The 200,000 IDR rooms were nice, but we only stayed one night due to one employee and his description of the jungle trek. He made a joke to my husband to the effect that I would be raped by our guide during the trip. We didn't find it humorous.

Thomas and his lovely crew is one of the most friendly, hospitable and qualified providers of jungle treks, accommodation and warm cosy nights in the jungle I have experienced so far. Their motto seems to be that everything is possible in the jungle and mine is yours/yours is mine. That spirit really fulfilled my stay and jungle trek with them. They take very good care of the nature around them and knows how to find the orangutans. The restaurant offers nice food and beverages at a fair price, delivered with a smile and warm hearts. I highly recommend you to go with this company.
