If you are looking the place where you can find a very beautiful view in Malang, The Onsen Resort can be your choice. It offers very beautiful scenery that can be a good place to take some photos. Unfortunately, the restaurant service was not as good as the place looked. It took more than an hour to wait for the meal, and the worst was, the cashier didn't know what I ordered and it took about an hour again to only leave the restaurant.

Has nice and unique concept. Has hot water bath in every room. Quite unique but very expensive. The views is moderate. Nice place to relax.

Perfect place for anyone who want to experience Japanese house. The only thing that make me really upset is the food, the food is taste terrible & there is a lot of flies & the waiters do nothing about it until we ask her to light the candle. Every room in here is a cottages size for max 4 person. All the cottages has a beautiful scenery surrounding by nature. You can see a lot of people who play paragliding from the cottages. Every cottage have private onsen which is you can use only for 8pm - 10 pm. They also have a public bath but you must pay for that. For people who want to experience the onsen without staying in the hotel, they can choose a public bath. They also rent a kimono.

Gorgeous views and have many good places to take photos. Limited facilities inside the room, but have comfortable bed. Like homemade foods for breakfast. Overall good.

I don't know what the hype about this place, but the only thing that's good about this place is only its scenic environment. Service quality is horrendous. But, it was yesteryear, hopefully they have improved by now. Try it for yourself, if you wish..

This is good japan's restaurant with beautiful views. Recommended restaurant for family or groups. Any hotel with the best service you can wear kimono.

The lack of service is terrible. Not recommended. No value for money. It's a pity the owner spent so much to build such a beautiful place but did not spend enough to train the staff.

Give 2 stars for this place just for the view of the rooms and garden . For everything else don't get your hope high. I can't even eat the Ramen that I thought will at least taste better than the food stall places. Staff not very attentive with customers and not very "japanese" on the manners too. Wish they will improve in the near futures or they will run out of customers pretty soon. Good luck

If I can rate 0 out of 5, I would
1. The system was terrible, I seriously have to rent 25K Rupiah for a set of plate, spoon and fork. For a 3.5Million Rupiah a night/a room, they are not worth it.
2. I have to book the place from a local traveling agency for a night there, it is not even available from a social traveling agency like traveloka or etc.
3. I understand if the hotel want to make a traditional Japanese feel for the customer even the outdoor Japanese air thing, but insects from outdoor can easily enter the room and stays. The fifth thing I saw when i entered the room was a pack of cockroaches
4. The breakfast was terrible, talk about a Japanese resort, there's nothing Japanese about the cuisine.

Nice and cozy.. U can feel the traditional japanese ambience once u enter your lodge.. However, the lodge design should be made more eye-catchy and the resort management service needs improvement. The new year dinner was nice but the breakfast was so so and need more varieties. Overall it was a great experience spending the new year's eve there. Great firework party, well done!

Love the setting of the resort. Cool fresh mountain air. The Japanese view & outlook is quite representative. Our cottage was cleaned and refreshed in the morning. Everything worked well especially the jacuzzi at the back of the cottage. Only the food needs improvement in taste

More than 2 hours waiting only for a drink. They need another hour to serve food, so we decided to left the place with many other mad-customers. My little son was hungry and crying till he slept over! My family and I were so disappointed. This place was our main destination, but they didn't ready yet to serve us. Limited menu book; no table number; unwell trained waiters; bad management; and slow cooking kitchen. They really really need to fix everything cz good scenery won't be enough for visitors.

all the staff are terrible.
1. the security, they not allowed my car to park here because it’s full. but the reality THERE ARE SO MANY FREE SPACE!!! lazy !!!
2. when i want to rent the yukata, they said ITS RENT OUT so i need to comeback around 4 hours but they don’t have any waiting list. so how can we make sure that we will get the yukata.
3. the restaurant. the cashier is A MONSTER! when i ask for a table, she said “find it by yourself”. then the waiters, I NEED TO WRITE MY OWN ORDER TO MAKE IT FASTER!!!! and we need to wait around 1 hour for the drink and another hours for our food

actually the scenery is amazing but the management is so terrible
i will never ever come here again.

I went here with my family just 2 weeks after the grand opening.

My first impression: horrible restaurant service. We ordered 3 foods + 1 beverage. They serve it more than 2 HOURS!!

The restaurant waitresses also looked unprofessional. They didn't know which table they are serving.

The taste is not worth the money.

If you happen to plan to go here, please don't expect too much on their restaurant service.

Just open early this month. Don't expect awesome service or great Japanese meal. Still a lot to do to settle it down.
Beside that, great view, great atmosphere for relaxation and calming your mind.
