You can’t use drone here, but i dont know why the drone from kementrian pariwisata can fly over the tengana sky?🤔 thats like double standard. If you’re a photographer when the perang pandan event, better you come when the fight is already start. Because they will forgot and didn’t charge you a lot of money just because you bring your camera. The ticket are sucks.

Tenganan village is a place which must to see anybody! Very colourful and traditional village and the people. You can find here very high quality souvenirs ikat local tradition sarong and many different things.

Village visited during a circuit in Bali.

the guide told us that it is a traditional village such that the locals are kept their traditions and customs through the generations.

The inhabitants are welcoming, kind and not insistent at all,

You can buy handemade products like woodcuts

In my opinion Tenganan is a village rather touristic or commercial than traditional.

This is basically a tourist trap with shops but it still is nice to talk to the guide and have a look around. Donation at the entrance around 20.000 rupiah for 2.

Most of the buildings are now small shops. You can get a sense of how the villages were, so it's still worth a visit.

Disappointing. I wished to see an ancient village, but the individual house now become shops. The village is not so clean.

The village guides are so welcoming and friendly. I was surprised that it doesn't feel awkward at all to just walk through and take photos of this beautiful traditional way of life. Highly recommended. Just be sure to leave a fair donation (25,000 IDR / person or so) and consider buying their handmade art or cloth.

Beautiful ancient village, nice but a little intriguing locals. One of the last places where they do the "double ikat weaving". Locals kindly offered to teach about their culture.

Just village, where self-styled local guide shows you two short streets with some new houses and just ONE old ruined wall (dating is not known) and invite you to his shop and tries to sell you his products. Waste of time.

Despite the traditional feeling of this village, there are signs of modernisation. People are not that friendly towards outsiders, and will most likely want you to buy their 'handmade' clothing. Nice for pictures, but not for staying too long.

One of the best place to see the ancient Bali. They still keep their culture beautifully. Not much to see beyond their festive period but if you are looking for something like beautiful clothes and hand weaving double ikat, I am sure you are at the right place.

Tourist rip off - the local guy will tell you 10 minutes something general about that village and "lead" you into one of the many shops. They all sell the same stuff.

The brochure said that the people in the village live like they did 700 years ago but that's completely untrue. There are the two old streets and old buildings but also scooters, lamp posts and new stuff. Also people are don't live there. All the buildings are just shops and they are only selling stuff. But if you are looking to buy an old sarong you can definitely do it here from 350 000 to 4 million.

They are just trying to sell "their" products (not sure of they are really handmade in the village). The visitor is guided very soon by the guide in his alleged family house where various "flags" (or is it a scarf or towel?) to decorate walls will be presented and tried to be sold. For this purpose they prepared even two machines ready to receive your credit card. This is for a good reason: Who expects to pay 1 Mio. rupiah for such a towel when visiting an ancient village?

If you refuse to buy the expensive category of towels, you will be guided to the cheaper category and end up with some wooden bookmarks if you stay strong until the end ;)

Everyone who expects a cultural tour or impressions from an ancient culture will be very disappointed.
Not worth visiting, except you like to buy one of the towels for your flat or at least if you want to watch some poor gamecocks in their small cages.

Neighbors guiding just interested in selling 'own' products. 90% which are imported or not produced on the village. Very sad. Bad or lack of information about traditions on Aga people Kepala Desa need to look forward to improve what they do
