The owners Alain and Ita were so lovely and extremely helpful. The staff were so smiley and friendly😁 absolutely loved this place and was very sad to leave!

My partner and I spent 3 sublime nights here at Tanjungan Bukit. Our room was beautifully decorated, with a fantastic deck overlooking a magnificent tropical garden with glimpses of a tourquiose sea. The restaurant was beautifully positioned to make full use of the view and the food that came out of the kitchen was just wonderful, be it local Indonesian cuisine or a French fusion. We tried many items on the menu and could not pick a favourite as many were so delicious. The beers were cold and the cocktails made with care. The pina colodas a favourite. We had massages that were fantastic at an incredibly good price and lazed our days away. We walked the island on a few occasions and saw many places to stay but I would not have swapped TBL for anything we saw. What an absolute gem of a place. Staff were ways willing to help with anything.

The paradise on earth exists it's called Tanjungan Bukit! After travelling all around Lombok, and being disappointed by the over-rated and over-commercialized "3 Gilis", it was fantastic to chance upon Tanjungan resort on Gili Gede. The island is part of the "South West Gilis" and is truly unsploiled. The resort owner, Alain, did an amazing job at preserving the lush landscape, while building fine wooden bungalows with great style and gorgeous views. It's a gem for travelers who enjoy a rustic, quiet, back to the nature feel, and do not mind missing a few comforts - and at this price it's a steal. Thanks to a very friendly hospitality, yummy food and tip-top snorkeling with corals, fishes and crystal clear water (20 mins boat ride to Gili Layar), me and my family fell in love with the place.

Beautiful place where you come really close to nature. Perfect for a few days stay to totally relax! Ita, Alain and the rest of the staff takes extremely good care of you, which makes this place feel like home. Good food, reasonable prices. Room and view is beautiful. The beaches on Gili Gede are not great, so make sure you go on a snorkeling/boat trip to Gili Layar (for example).

A jewel in the wilderness, great hosts, amazing rooms and jaw dropping views. The restaurant is run by the owners in the evenings, go check it out.

Very nice small get away. Food is good, great atmosphere. Rooms are open for fresh air. There are geckos and lizards to take care of insects.
To be aware of: no air con, no electricity in the morning, noise from street and boats, not a swimming beach, beer/alcohol in lombok is expensive.
Shuttle boat is included in the room price. Simply call the hotel once you arrive there.
Excursions can be booked in the hotel but are much cheaper if you walk to the next village (50 meters).response / report this review -

What a lovely place! A small fine accommodation on the slope of a little mountain with very nice rooms and a great view of the sea. The small lodge has been there only for a few months. Therefore everything is new and everything works perfectly. Of course, there is no hot water in the shower and there is constantly a breakdown of the power supply - and not only for a few minutes but for hours. Thus the Internet is not always available - but this is how life is on a small island on the edge of civilization where there is not even a road. All this however, Alain and Ita make up with extravagant hospitality and great food in their small restaurant. So we had a wonderful stay there with trips to the island of Gili Layar, where you can snorkel in a largely undestroyed coral reef. We would love to go back

Amazing! We were recommended this amazing place by friends and could not fault the service or hospitality. Ita and Alain are beautiful people and have a slice of paradise here on Gili Gede. We will definitely be back.
