One of the most sacred site in Lombok. Historically, this temple was made of two beliefs, Islam and Hindu, and it was aimed to show how two different beliefs united in harmony. Pura Lingsar is annually located as Lombok's Perang Topat event where two beliefs, Islam and Hindu hand in hand celebrate "Pujawali" and "Perang Topat". I got chance to witness this annual event last year, Festival Pujawali and Perang Topat 2017. It was crowded by thousands of people and various Lombok and Bali traditional music were performed.

Hindu temple in west Lombok where you can see unity in diversity. A temple guarded by Moslem family. I think because of that a mushall /praying room for moslem is built next or to the east of the pura/temple.
Once a year a celebration is made to ask God for good product ( rice) for the next harvest. The name is Perang Topat.
Bw careful not to get hit in the perang topat. Some naughty people put stone or rooten egg inside the ketupat

A temple for all religions, which is nice for the religion and history buffs, but there really isn't much to see here. Luring the holy eels out with eggs is fun for the kids though.

At this temple, the visitors can find the different atmosphere and uniqueness of live collaboration between Hindus Followers and Moslems. Both Hindus and Moslems are living in Harmony since time ago that shown with the two holly places, Lingsar Temple for Hindus and Kemaliq for Moslems were build at the same complex in 17th centuries. And these buildings are exists and well preserved until present days. There is "Perang Topat" festivals or "Battle of Rice Cake" that's both Hindus and Moslems around the area come together and throwing the rice cake to each other's after the ceremony.

it is a peaceful yet small place. Basically the temple is Balinese style. you can see directly hindhu people prays and I highly suggest you to hire a guide to explain the history, there a lot of interesting story the guide can share regarding the place and Lombok culture itself.
