One of the best hikes in Indonesia. It's two days hike, usually the second day you go to the top for sunrise. There are a few campsites on the way. We got to POS4 campsite after 2.5h of fast walk. Usually it takes longer ( about 5-6 hours ). The trail is quite steep all the way. From the top you can see multiple volcanoes on Java island and the closest is Merapi which is still active.
Entrance for foreigners is 150000 rupiahs. You can get a ride from village to some point on the trail for 10000 rupiahs.

An amazing place, one of the mountains in Indonesia that has a beautiful savanna, although it takes a little effort to reach this place, but the scenery served will not disappoint. If the weather is sunny you can also see clearly the beauty of Mount Merapi from here.

Absolutely Beautiful. Trails not easy for the casual hiker or kids. Very steep and slippery, dry season is the best time to go. View is from the peak with the tower.

A very good view from this mountain. You can see Merapi mountain so close from here. You can visit for 2 days and 1 night to explore this mountain. Sunrise is one of travelers interest point. Sabana un Merbabu mountain also good view

Amazing views, but you have to work hard for it. The accent is from the trail head to the peak is 1700m vertical over 5km with no contouring. Worth it.

Beautifull place in Central Java. You can see Merapi Mountain in your journey to the top from Selo. You'll always miss this place. Easy track, but you must always keep safety.

One of inactive vulcanic mountain which located in central java. You'll find birds, squirrels, boars and other animals on their natural habitat. Beautiful scenery you will find once you've reach approximately 3000m above MSL till summit.
