Its around 3 and a half star. And just like almost all state managed park, its lack of proper maintenance and management. If you ever been here, most of you will think that it can be so much more. The main concept is to create one stop recreational park and information center for middle java region. Its good, the purpose is good, but hopefully further down the time the execution will be better and better.

Udah bagus sekarang. Kalo hari libur ada perahu sampan + bebek air yang disewain. Mangrove nya juga rapi. Di jembatan ada cafe nya juga. Salah satu destinasi wajib si. Cuma minusnya kalo siang panas bgt, direkomendasiin sore aja kesananya🙃

Tempat lumayan bagus utk edukasi anak2 dlm mengenal rmh adat dan budaya seluruh kota/kabupaten di jateng yg berjumlah 35. Selain itu ada hutan mangrove yg cukup asri dilengkapi jln setapak yg terbuat dr kayu utk menyusuri tepian mangrove. Ada jg perahu & becak air utk pengunjung yg pengen keling kawasan maerakaca. Hanya sayang kalo siang cuaca terik panas banget, parkir mobil tanpa penghijauan yg memadai

the miniature of Central Java. This perhaps was initially intended to serve the visitors just like how Taman Mini Mini Indonesia Indah ( TMII) Jakarta does. However it is so lack of maintenance. local government needa to take care of its maintenance seriously so that it can attract more visitors. Despite of its minimum facilities this should be one of the must visit attaractions for those who want to learn about what Central Java has to offer

It is a dirty, not interesting park. The initial theme might be something like small central java with buildings contain of their cultural picts and things. But it just does not work. The buildings are falling and the good ones are locked. Not many food vendors. If it is rain, you will be trapped in one of the building and can not go anywhere since there is no sheltered road whatsoever.

Jut not worth it.

GOOD place to flash visit all region in Central Java province in one place.

Please consider these to enhance the place as family tourism worth to visit, locally and internationally:

1. Always have a well knowledge person standby in every pavillion to assist visitor when they needed.
2. Adequate and clean toilets is a must.
3. Wheelchair access to every building/facility incl toilets should be in consideration.
4. A stroller rental for babies and toddlers would be exquisite.
5. Good maintenance esp cleanliness of buildings and facilities is a must.
6. Consider a live cultural performance in every pavillion every Sundays.

It's a good place to learn the characteristic of every regencies (for example, the landmark) and cities in a place (represented by a building). The building here is organized as the same as the position of the regency in Central Java map (for example, Sragen's building is near Karanganyar's). Here, you also can buy the delicious Dawet Ayu Banjarnegara. You can also enjoy the mangrove "forest". The place is easily reached by Trans Semarang (go to PRPP).

Unfortunately, many places that don't maintained, and even "being left" after several years. Even the building of Temanggung Regency is destroyed. It is good to revitalize it again as the place is really important to educate every people. I suggest that the government should repaint their buildings, make some museum and shop separate in a building. To make sure that it will give a good usefulness, every study tour of schools can visit this place.

Taman Mini Maerakaca (atau Maerokoco) yang terletak di Jalan Anjasmoro, di sebelah area PRPP atau di belakang rumah makan Kampung Laut lumayan terkenal di pertengahan tahun 1990-an termasuk salah satu primadona tujuan wsata di kota Semarang. Meniru konsep TMII, Maerakaca merupakan miniature Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Disana bias ditemukan anjungan Semarang (lengkap dengan miniature tugumuda), Demak (dengan miniature masjid agung Demak), Kudus (dengan miniature Menara Kudus, yang juga dilengkapi dengan jenis rumah joglo asli Kudus), Sragen (dengan miniature museum Sangiran), Karanganyar (dengan miniature Candi Sukuh/Cetho), dll.

Hampir dua decade telah berlalu. Mungkin karena kurangnya perhatian dari pemerintah sehingga Taman Mini Maerakaca tak lagi seindah dulu, sehingga tak banyak lagi turis yang mengunjunginya. Bahkan orang-orang Semarang sendiri banyak yang sudah lupa dengan keberadaannya. Sedih ya?

Padahal lumayan lho untuk pembelajaran pada anak-anak, untuk sedikit mengenal Propinsi Jawa Tengah dengan kota-kota dan keunikan dari kota-kota tersebut.

Sebagai penduduk kota Semarang dan sekitarnya, bagaimana kalau kita hidupkan lagi Maerakaca sebagai salah satu tujuan turis yang menarik di kota Semarang? Tak kenal, maka tak sayang. Pepatah ini tetaplah berlaku. :)
