  Gereja St. Ignatius Loyola Sikka ini dibangun tahun 1896 dan selesai pada 24 Desember 1899. Interiornya khas bangunan arsitektur para Jesuit yang membangun gereja ini. Bahan-bahan kayu yang jadi penyangga gereja ini belum pernah diganti sampai sekarang. Bagian yang sudah mengalami renovasi adalah atap seng yang diganti genteng, lantai yang kini berlapis keramik, dan sebagian desain kursi. Kayu-kayu disatukan dengan memakai baut dan pasak. Kayu jati ini didatangkan dari Pulau Jawa dengan dua gelombang, pertama sebanyak 200 kubik, yang kedua sebanyak 20 kubik.

  This is catholic church. Built in 24 december 1899. Made from teak wood. This church have a historical story for catholic growth in Lela, sikka, Maumere, east indonesia
