The airport is new. A lot was spent to build it. It's very empty, there are a few tiny local cafes and bakeries inside. There is a very, very pushy crowd of taxi tours outside the gates. The staff throughout the airport and not interested in you, your questions or service in general. It also has one of the most depressing "lounges" in the country.

This airport is one of many modern airports in Indonesia. Some flights you can find here like Garuda, Namair, Xpress, Lion, Wings. With destination to Jakarta, Makassar, Manokwari, Fakfak, etc.

Kota yang didalamnya banyak terdapat budaya barat tmur tengah indonesia,ragam suku yang menjadikan satusatunya kota di indonesia yang menggunakan bahasa indonesia yang benar dan tepat.merupakan kota minyak dan wisata raja ampat, wisata pantai lainnya . merupakan pintu masuk pulau papua dan sebagai kota transit,menjadikan kota sorong sebagai kota yang ramai di ujung selatan timur indonesia
