Super an old train station, now I am glad that the KAI (Indonesian train company) just fixed and upgraded and clompleting all of the facilities.
Now, during check in I feel like I am on the airport's service.. there are super good service and good facilities..

Overall, I gave 5 stars for it..

Keep it a good works PT. KAI I am proud of your works..

The station is nice, comfy, wide. The food that is sold in the food stalls are a little bit more expensive than those from outside. I suggest you to bring your own meal in case you have a sudden starve.

One of the oldest train station that has been renovated by the goverment. There’s a mosque, gift shop, indomaret, dunkin donut, and you can find cheap food around the station. If you want to drop of in the station it cost 5000 rupiah which is a bit expensive for me. If you are backpacker and want a place to stay you can sleep around the mosque, dont forget to bring autan in the night because there’s a lot of mosquito not despacito!

Sebenernya baru ini kali pertama saya ke Stasiun Tawang, karena di beberapa kesempatan memang memilih Stasiun Poncol yang lebih dekat.

Kemudian karena semalam adik2 dari komunitas saya ada kegiatan di Tangerang dan pemberangkatan ke Stasiun Pasar Senen jam 1.42 dini hari maka saya sempetin bertemu dengan mereka.

Menurut saya, Stasiun Tawang merupakan stasiun yang besar dengan ketinggian +0 mdpl. Area parkir yang cukup luas, banyak kios, dan live musicnya. Bangunan khasnya sangat identik dengan aroma belanda meski sudah ada renovasi di sana sini.
Biaya karcis parkir motor, 2000 jam pertama, 3000 jam kedua serta ditambah 1000 di jam selanjutnya.

Untuk masalah kebersihan, saya rasa Stasiun Tawang memang sangat bersih. Kesadaran penumpang/pengunjung juga tinggi dan banyak di temukan adanya tong sampah dimana2.

Sayangnya untuk kamar mandi di dekat mushola kalo malam harus ditutup dan dikunci. Dan tidak sempat melihat kamar mandi / toilet di ujung pintu masuk. Jadi harus ke toilet atau kamar mandi Masjid yang saya rasa tidak nyaman karena memiliki aroma (maaf) pesing.

Untuk ruang tunggu pengantar atau penumpang cukup baik dan luas. Sayang dibangunan inti pengantar tidak boleh masuk, jadi kami harus gelekoran di lantai. Gak apa2 kok, yg penting bersih.

Overall Stasiun Tawang patut mendapatkan bintang 5 dari saya 😄

Did you know that Tawang name came from the local village nearby? Did you know that the station is really old? It was built in 1911 when Indonesia was colonized by the Dutch. I like the old structure of the building, and the unique thing about this station is that the announcement are not only in Bahasa language but also in traditional Java language.

Stasiun nya lumayan lah, cukup padat, tempat makan nya lumayan beraneka. Lahan parkir lumayan luas. Masjid nya yang mantap, luas dan banyak juga orang yang singgah disini sekedar untuk melepas lelah, berbaring, tiduran, jadi musafir gak terlalu khawatir karena seperti nya masjid nya ramah backpacker

Stasiun Tawang saat ini berbeda dibandingkan dengan sebelum PT KAI berubah menjadi Department. Saat ini stasiun ini menjadi jauh lebih maju dan bagus. Banyak fasilitas yang diperbaiki. Terutama dari Segi Kereta, kualitas Pelayanannya. Sekarang tidak Kereta yang tidak berAC. Kereta Ekonomipun sekarang menggunakan AC dan terdapat Colokan Stop Kontak untuk charging Device di setiap tempat duduknya. Servicenya juga ramah, hanya saja sebaiknya Pengantar boleh ikut menemani di dekat pintu Peron.

Lokasi mudah terlihat dari jalan umum. Dapat dicapai dg kendaraan umum atau pribadi. Bila Taksi masuk parkiran kena charge Rp.5000,-, parkir kendaraan pribadi seringkali padat. Kurang wheelchair friendly.
Loket tiketing persis di depan gerbang masuk kendaraan stasiun tawang. Gerbang masuk boarding di sisi yg lain. Masuk boarding ada ramp di sisi kanan untuk wheelchair namun perlu bantuan dorong krn agak curam.
Jasa coolie angkut barang yg sah di stasiun ini 10rb - 25rb rupiah.
Arah jakarta ke arah sayap kiri stasiun. Toilet bersih dan mushola tersedia ke arah kiri stasiun. Untuk toko oleh2 dan meals di sebelah kanan sayap stasiun. Dunkin donat dan c.fried chiken dan toko oleh2 telah buka sejak jam 5.30 pagi. Alfa maret buka agak siang. Pegawai stasiun super ramah. Security perlu diajar manners dan cara berkomunikasi yg lbh baik.
Kereta datang tepat waktu, interior bersih hanya tangga naik kereta yg blm terpasang benar. Kenapa tdk bisa rapi sekali jadi ya

Stasiun tawang bersih, tidak ada sampah yang berserakan, petugasnya ramah dan profesional. Tapi untuk toilet penumpang pria dibagian depan tgl 30 des 2017 jam 6.00 air klosetnya mati jadi bau pesing. Mohon diperhatikan.

Gaya bangunan stasiun tawang masih mempertahankan gaya bangunan lama tapi di bagian depan ruang tunggu di renovasi jadi modern dan membuat jadi lega dan nyaman. Tersedia photo booth juga bertemakan kereta.

Untuk fasilitas di kereta sudah semuanya pakai AC dan ada tempat untuk charge gadget kita. Sangat berguna saat ponsel kita lowbat.

Good service overall, ticket booking counter could be faster.

Announcement sound hard to understand, please adjust it so the passenger don't miss their train.

No toilet in Ring 2 waiting area (area after the security guard check your ticket) although you can get their permission to leave to station outer area.

It is the biggest train station in Semarang. There are many routes available and you can order online, too. The place is spacious, clean with friendly & helpful employees. You have to come early so you don't have to queue for boarding. Some mini markets & small F&B vendors are there, too. If you want to go to this station, you can ride the Trans Semarang or Trans Jateng - local rapid transit busses with very affordable fare.

A historic place that become the main train station of Semarang. The architecture is really beautiful, historic, and enjoyable. The service by KAI here is really fast. Many place that you can use to take a seat. The parking lots is quite enough. It is adjacent to the old town and the city center. In front of the entrance, you can see the history of this place. The facility is quite enough as you can see in the map.

It's very clean beyond my expectation. There are some shops open 24 hours and it's helpful for the passengers who just arrive at late night or early morning.

My salute for the cleaning service boy works so diligent when they find messy on the toilet (i see it when it's on holiday season Lebaran - so i find it so rare)

Very well preserved. They don't allow you to sleep on the bench even if you arrive on a late night train. You have to go outside
