The setting is good with ample seating. But in Indonesia you have to be patient with cigarette smoke. The seats are wooden chairs which are not that comfortable. Sundanese food is not among our favourites (as opposed to padang food). Overall, this is just an average food joint, but it's great for groups if food is not on priority list.

They called “wet” fried chicken here, which is, the chicken is not crispy fried..
It’s another taste of fried chicken..
The place is big, with old-style decoration..
Suitable for a meeting or a gathering..

It's have a good taste of Sundanese menu. Things to improve is
1. service quality, specially how quick to serve the food and serving the bill.

Sambal Hejo is one of the best Sundanese restaurant in Karawang, you can easily find it after you exit from toll road from Jakarta or Bandung. The place is proper, has spacious parking lot, it has both non air conditioned dining room and air conditioned dining room.
The price is quite expensive, but you get what you have pay. Like typical Sundanese restaurant, they serve menu on your table and you only pay that you eat exclude menu you choose. P.S. if you ask for juice menu, ask them first juice is made from real fruits or not, some juice menu is processed juice.

Like its name, the restaurant serves great sambal. Spicy and delicious. The ambience is nice with Sundanese atmosphere as the majority. But there are a lot of mosquitos in the night :(
