If you ever get as far as Bira Beach, at the southern end of South Sulawesi,Indonesia. You should stay here!
Eric and Shanty , a friendly Indonesian couple run this small guest house not far from the beach. It has a mix of rooms and bungalows at a mix of prices with all the usual facilities .The bungalows have open to the elements bathrooms with rain showers.
Shanty is an excellent cook and will come and have a friendly chat and is full of advice. Eric has a car service and will take you to wherever you want to go to .
Highly recommended , again, id stay gere again no worries.

Food was amazing. Room was okay. Very near to the beach, just walk 5minutes. The toilet flush in our previous room was broken so we ask to change the room and they agreed.

I went here because it was the most recommended restaurant from TripAdvisor. I ordered Ikan Rica-Rica. It was different from what I imagined - I assumed rica-rica was chili sauce, but instead, I got turmeric-based sauce, which was better. The fish was either tuna or barracuda. From the taste, I ate the former. It was one of the best meal I've ever had.

Tip: the food might take a long time to cook.

Try out the Ikan Bumbu Bali! I had this dish with fresh Tuna and it was the best fish I ever had! So good! Would come back just for this. Also the gado gado and Rica-Rica are really good and big portions! The owners are very friendly and happy people who are happy to share their culture with you.

Eriq, the owner, is a Buginese who can speak English, French, and Dutch because he used to lived in Europe for two years. A very helpful person and can direct you for any activity in Bira. Also could have you to arrange boat for snorkeling

Had dinner there, which was ok but not better than in many other places. Lucky us we were the first party to order, elsewhere you might wait an hour or longer for food - but also this is the same in most small restaurant in Sulswesi.
