Monumen Kapten Robert Hamilton merupakan monumen bersejarah yang terletak di tengah jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bengkulu. Monumen ini beralas kotak dilengkapi dengan obelisk berbentuk limas segi empat. Monumen ini dibangun untuk mengenang Kapten Robert Hamilton seorang Kapten Angkatan Laut Inggris yang mati dibunuh oleh rakyat Bengkulu pada tanggal 15 Desember 1793 dalam usia 38 tahun. Sebagai penghargaan, pemerintah Inggris membangun sebuah tugu untuk mengenang perjuangan Kapten Hamilton. Dalam prasasti, Kapten Robert Hamilton disebut sebagai “Second Member of Government”.

The Robert Hamilton monument is one of the oldest surviving buildings built by British colonial government in Bengkulu. The monument was erected to honor and in memory of Captain Robert Hamilton who died on the 15th of December 1793. The monument is still in relatively good shape despite the factor of time. It is located at a roundabout crossing of three roads, making it easy to see it from a moving vehicle.
If we look at the monument closer and carefully, we will see an inscription on the monument wall that says,
"Underneath this obelisk are interred the Remains of CAPTAIN ROBERT HAMILTON who died on the 15th of Dec' 1793 at the Age of 38 Years in the Command of the Troops and Second Member of the Government"

About 2 km from the Fort Marlborough, there is another architectural reminder of former British colonial, the Robert Hamilton Monument (Indonesian: Tugu Robert Hamilton). This monument is one of the oldest surviving buildings built by British colonial government in Bengkulu. The monument was erected to honor and in memory of Captain Robert Hamilton who died on the 15th of December 1793.
There is an inscription on the monument wall that says

Location: at the meeting point of Jl. M. Hasan and Jl. Iskandar, near the Pasar Tebek cemetery, Pasar Melintang – Bengkulu.
