the hotel location is good, it's very close to downtown palembang only 5 to 10 minutes depending on the traffic. the room price was cheap but the room size is small.
the breakfast menu are very limited and the taste was not good. i suggest you get breakfast elsewhere.

I stayed a night for a business trip. Located in the main road of the city.
The room - small and simple but very clean, especially bathroom area - just check for the towels to get the clean one, and for tooth brush & tooth paste with slippers aren't provides for free by the hotel, but if you need it you'll get charge for only IDR 10K.
Internet connection was good.
The foods - mixed Indonesian/chinese peranakan and a few western foods that was nice. The staffs are helpful. Thank you.

Hotel room was quite nice and clean, breakfast was standard.

unfortunately during our stay we received poor services by the staff
1. our room door was stuck, electronic key worked fine but the door was jammed, we couldn't get inside the room, we had to go down to reception and asked someone to open it for us, the guy opened the door eventually but with a lot of force, sort of like breaking into someone's house. Because we couldnt open the door ourselves, we asked to move to another room, the staff onsite refused, saying the door just need a little bit of lubricant which they will fix later (they never fixed our room door), we were also told that it is not possible to move to another room (at the time of our check in there are plenty of rooms available). We understand that we checked in quite late at 10pm, therefore staffs on duty might be scarce and services became considerably slow, but we have stayed at other budget hotels before but never encountered similar problems. as the result, everytime we get in our room we had to kick the door down to open it or we had to call someone to open it for us, very very inconvenient

2. According to reception, our room will be cleaned and towels changed everyday. we left the hotel room at 6.00 am in the morning for work and back again to the hotel at 10pm (nighttime), upon entering our room, we discovered that our room hadnt been cleaned, the bed hadnt been made, and the towel hadnt been changed. We called downstairs for some towels but they never arrived

Just for future reference..
- other budget hotels provide hot water dispenser at every floor (same price as red planet hotel)

we really dont mind and completely understand budget hotels concept, where we pay for what we need and order what is necessary for us. we have stayed in plenty of budget hotels all around this country and have never experienced any major problems.
unfortunately this hotel lacks the proper service other budget hotels with the same price brackets provides. we shouldnt have to struggle to just get in our room, if a room has an important issue and other rooms are available, we shouldnt be denied a room change simply because it is late at night and checking us into another room is a hassle for the staff to do.
we can look past the faulty door and broken appliances in our room, but what disappoints us most is the poor poor service by the staff

hopefully this provides some input for the hotel and they fix these issues

I had a 2 night stay and got a wonderful experience. The staffs are friendly, helpful and very responsive, the room are clean and look wider than the reality because they put a super huge mirror on the wall to create a spacey feel. The hotel location is very strategic, near the city center. And the rate are soooo affordable especially for the backpacker traveller to get all the good services. Very recommended

I ever tried this place with my family, when my home was "blackout". Good service, good place, speed wifi. But there is no fix price of the room, the price is depend on what day, high season/not, etc. Make sure to ask the price first, before you take the room
