I though the hotel train their staff well. When I am arrive he open the door for us and got room as my preference twin smoking also help us provide iron & board. Food are ok, definitely will come again sometimes. Thanks Quest & team.

Have used this place a few times but was disappointed this time. Room smelled very bad, almost like sewage, and no amount of airing could stop it. It was late and we couldn't be bothered moving but it was not good. Service in general OK and breakfasts good.

Average service, average food, Sometimes hot water won't came out, and BAD coordination and communication even within their own internal Service Team, my laundry payment got mixed up, had to settle with tense arguments to clear things up.

Stayed at Quest Hotel Balikpapan for the second time around solely because of the great location. Short 1-2 minutes walk to Pentacity which is also connected to the other mall called E-Walk. It wasn't hard to navigate ourselves around this area cos it pretty much has everything.
**5 out of 5 for location**

Checking in wasn't a pain, but as soon as we got into our room, it reeked. so bad. The smell was coming from the bathroom, specifically the draining hole. So I called and asked if there was any other room available or, send someone to please get rid of the smell by doing whatever they could. No rooms were available. They sprayed the hole multiple times but it didn't do the trick just yet. A few minutes later the receptionist called making sure the odour has disappeared and I said it was still very much there and I asked for them to close one of the draining holes. It worked for a bit.. But I could still smell that strong odour. Thank God we only stayed for a night.

The following morning, we went to the airport with their airport shuttle service (I didn't know existed) with a small fee of IDR 70,000. Got to the airport, and I quickly realised I didn't have my ID with me and remembered yesterday the receptionist hadn't give back my ID yet after we checked in. He only gave me the room key. We called the hotel and insisted for them to deliver it to us ASAP as our plane would board soon. Within 25-40 minutes, I got my ID card back. Phew! I guess that sums up the review for my stay this time around. They could've had someone check the room before the guest comes in to ensure there was no smell or whatever.

All and all, I will recommend Quest to other people and will probably come back for a short stay.

What I like most about this hotel is the quality standard of service. Although it's only 3 stars hotel, but you will get service of 4-5 stars hotel which is the standard of Archipelago (Aston) group.

The location is very good. We had a slight problem during our stay. The fridge didn't work and we asked the engineer to fix the problem. They changed with a new fridge, which they claimed that it worked well the night before in another room. We told the engineer that maybe the electrical outlet didn't work. But the engineer insisted that the fridge worked well the night before.

We stayed here for only two nights. The hotel is very modern, quiet and reasonably clean. The front desk staff were helpful. Breakfast was okay but there were a lot of ants around the jams. Overall, great value for our short visit.
