  Serene place to visit. This temple is not so popular with visitor so there is usually quiet here.When I was there, some rituals of the local people was ongoing.

  This temple is the one of the remarkable temples of Bali. It was build during the reign of king Candrasangka Warmadewa in about 10th century. During that ancient time, this temple was used to held the important meetings for high priests of the kingdom. One of their decision was to created Balinese village community with Kahyangan Tiga (the main three temples in each Balinese village).

  Eine wunderschöne, weitläufige Tempelanlage mit viel Historie und Ruhe in der Luft. Eintritt: 10k, den Sarong kriegt man wie gewohnt geliehen und wenn wenig los ist (oder wie in unserem Fall nichts), gibt es eine kostenfreie Führung durch den guardian obendrauf.
  Von der Umgebung her ist der Uluwatu sicher schöner gelegen. Aber: Was Größe und Vielfalt der Kunstwerke angeht, stinkt er gegen den Samuan Tiga klar ab! Außerdem: Man wird durch keine einzige Verkaufsbude belästigt und muss sich nicht durch Busladungen von Japanern durchquälen.
  Definitiv einen Besuch wert und dem nahen Elefantentempel m.E. klar vorzuziehen.
  Kleiner Tip: Der netten (und zugegeben unaufdringlichen) Einladung des guardians, doch den Verkaufsstand seiner Frau am Elefantentempel zu besuchen, muss man nicht wirklich Folge leisten - sie bietet wie so viele dort schlicht überteuerte Sarongs an.

  Such a beautiful temple with great atmosphere. When we were there it was nobody except us (after crowded Goa Gaja). And it made the experience there unique. Definitely must visit! Not spoiled by crowds of tourists

  Pura yg terletak di gianyar ini merupakan suatu keyakinan umat hindu sebagai tempat berkumpulnya para bhatara untuk rapat secara niskala agar menemukan keseimbangan jagat dan alam. Selain itu wajib bagi umat yg memiliki usaha untuk tangkin sembahyang demi mengucapkan rasa sukur atas rezeki dan usaha yg telah di hasilkan.
