Per pax only pays 10k rupiahs. At the end of the tour, the ticket's lady ask you to give tip for the guide. Great place for learning the royal families of Mangkunegaran principality.

Place: 4/5. This place is full of historical stuff like paintings, earrings, swords, and many items from Mangkunegaran kingdom. All of them seems like quite maintained. Ticket is 20k for foreign and 10k for local.
Service: 4/5. The tour guide is friendly but not quite well knowledgable on specific history, only know about stuff on the museum.response / report this review -

Well maintained collections compared to the other javanese palaces, the guide was knowledgeable and very patience and allowing access to the inside of the palace.

A great place to study the history of keraton solo and it's kings. Very affordable. If you are lucky, you can meet the king himself. Hiring a tour guide would help you learn about this place way deeper than just going around yourself.

It is a well preserved Javanese Palace, but please keep in mind that it has limited visiting times. On Sunday it only opens until 1 pm.

A bit of Central Java History
The place is quite preserved and is still actively used as Javanese dance and gamelan practice.
The family of the current "Regent" still live there in time for ceremonies. So this is not a dead place.
Collections mostly come from MN IV (the current one is the IX).
Love the small garden. and love the dance practice at the Pendopo Ageng. So calming.response / report this review -

I visited this palace two weeks ago. It was an interesting tour. I arrived nearly 15 minutes before close, but they still welcomed me greatly. Their guide was also very professional and informative. I simply love it and recommend to visit this palace whenever you are around Solo. You won't regret it.
