  Came here with friends with an Indonesian for guide. Not bustling with tourists as it is a Long drive from Surabaya airport (approx 6 hours non-stop car drive). The view is AMAZING and temperature here is chilly. Best to bring a jacket (and a sweater if you are afraid of cold) AND wear proper walking shoes. There are ashes from the volcano so your shoes will get dirty. Coming here is worth the breath-taking view and fresh air. You’re advised to bring some snacks as there seems to be only 1 restaurant nearby which opens 7am-10pm.
