Cozy, a good place to meet up with friends. The music is not so loud so we can talk to each other without yelling. 😄
I love the rooftop and also the view. And, they have good churros 👌
Supreme cocktails selection! Superb service! However, parking is a nightmare, would be nice if they provide vallet service.
Por Que No is a Spanish Restaurant. The place is quite cozy. It is located on the rooftop and you can see Jakarta city view and sunset from its terrace area. It is an open space, so you can smoke there. They also have indoor area that is not too big, but I think it's enough. The food portion is too small for the price. I ordered 2 appetizer and the taste was okay. Not that bad, but not that good. I ordered Ice Cappuccino and it turned out to be good enough. If you plan to come there, you'd better call for a reservation first since the place is usually full.
Overall, it is a nice place to hang out. Just try their main course. Maybe it's better 😉
'Por Que No?' ('Why not?'), to which my answer would be 'OBVIOUSLY NOT'. My friend and I ordered gazpacho, sweet potato chips, and paella. We expected the portion to be huge, just like any decent Spanish restaurant would be. Moreover, all the dishes we ordered was part of 'platter for sharing'. The chips came, and my heart sank a bit. It was greasy, and the frying was not even. Some of the chips were brown and so was the guacamole (we all know what brown avocado means). Then came our gazpacho in a set of 12 test tubes, I was quite upset. I mean, seriously, the test tubes are not even pretty. And the soup itself reminds me of those dodgy liquid that you get from mixing random stuff during science experiments. And the taste? Yucks. They tasted like tabasco tbh. So when our last dish came in a pan that does't even feed one, I was completely furious. They said that the 220k paella can feed 3-4 persons but like in all seriousness, that is not even sufficient for one person. Mind you, I'm not a big eater myself. Moreover, it did not even taste like paella. The rice stuck to the bottom of the pan and there were only like 4 or 5 pieces of chopped green beans with some diced chicken and chorizo on top.
It was really such a shame because the place was actually quite pleasantly decorated and they have a great view from their outdoor lounge. Perhaps that's the reason for me giving one star (aside from the fact that you can't give 0)
The only good thing is the view. Tapaz was said in big platters and to be shared for 3 to 4 people, but the cold soups were served in test tubes, and the taste was awful. Paella (chorizo) was wet but a bit overcooked on the sides, the chorizo has a bitter taste in it with too much tabasco. Overall 10/10 NOT recommended
A bit overpriced. Food tastes so so. Nice ambience to hang out
I like the scenery but if u intend to come for food.. this is not the place.. the portion is small..
Place is okay, space is not big tho. Ordered salmon salad and fried dory, both taste bad!!! Too pricey for that quality
Nice place to hang out with friends on evening especially on friday night. Don't forget to try the house specialities drink :)
Friendly ambience.. a nice rooftop bar in the midst of Menteng Jakarta
Good food, nice interior and good view at outside
The view from rooftop is great. The food is okay yet the price is over. Love the hall wall there. Written a Por Que NO ? made from pencil crayon. Its really creative.
Hidden on top of an office/commercial building, this place has awesome ambiance. It offers Spanish food, which to me, kinda resemblance healthy meals. Great place to hang around with friends. It offers a great selection of alcoholic drinks also. And it has an open air area, with great views on Jakarta cityscape.
