  Carnet and the driver are money-grubbers.....when we asked about the price before boarding they were told to just ride first...when we got on the new road the price was set high even though the route was close...we gave up on taking the Batutumonga bus

  Avoid this bunch of ignorants at all cost if you want to travel safe. Delayed departure with an hour, and later we also had have to change to another bus because the total lack of maintenance caused a clutch breakdown. We would have been ok with that too, but absolutely no money refund, they just laughed at us. They say the condition of the bus is "our problem" not theirs. No responsibility taken for their ill attitude and the terrible condition of their bus whatsoever. The second bus also had have problems during the whole trip, engine was stalling at some points. We were quite scared during the steep serpentines where a good condition of the vehicle is crucial. A day later three people have died in a bus accident on the same route because of a brake failure, same attitude with the maintenance, so better look for another way of transportation if you would like to survive.

  Offers buses from Rantepao to Palu, via Palopo and Tentena. Buses are spacious and comfy. Buses do not run everyday so advisable to book a few days in advance.
  
  As with all buses in Sulawesi, expect extended travel times to what is advertised. Our journey between Rantepao and Tentena took 15.5 hours (including the hour delay in leaving Rantepao)

  Nice comfortable, big bus. Only 25 hours Rantepao to Palu. Does not run daily. You must check to ensure it's the big bus as on some days they run a smaller much less comfortable vehicle.
