  Big selection of fruits but don't expect to get real price. Always need to bargain

  Get local, traditional marketplace, mountain village, Eat Drink Love café, steamed corns.
  
  A busy traditional marketplace in the high mountain at Bedugul, on the opposite side of lake Bratan. Merta Sari market is mixed for local and tourist as well. Lots of noodle soup vendors (mi bakso), souvenirs, clothings, herbs, nurseries, art gallery and Eat Drink Love café.
  At the streetside, some vendors offer colorful snacks which looks like plastic. I chose to buy steamed corn, also in yellow-orange color, but the vendor said it was turmeric, not artificial colorings.
  At the back of the market, is an art gallery plus the only decent public toilet in the market. Next to it are nurseries selling exotic and mountain plants and flowers.
  At the left corner is an art café, Eat Drink Love. Full of arts, and good wifi.
  The saffron is a good bargain, for the most expensive herb in the world, it is quite cheap here but not the highest quality.
  In the evening, the mist comes down. Some shops turn on the lights, but soon I saw motorbikes headlights everywhere as people return to their home in the villages. Day is short here in the busy mountain town.
  Behind this market is Eka Karya Botanical Garden, a large garden at a mountain slope.
  
  Being here, get local but still looking
  
  The really traditional wet market for the villagers and locals is Pasar Candikuning, near Bali Handara Golf and Country Club.

  Try negotiations.. If you knew the price they will give to you. Or it will be hard. But very fresh items.

  BE CAREFUL BUYING FRUITS - might be VERY EXPENSIVE!!! The fruit market itself is a nice place. You will see a lot of fresh tropical products (fruits, spices,).
  
  BUT if you intend to buy anything, be aware of the trading practice. Pay not more than 10% of the first price offered. Be strict and keep in mind the value of the IDR price in your currency. It happens very quickly that you forget that 450k IDR is about 30 EUR or USD. Do you really want to pay that much for 5-10 pieces (!!!) of tropical fruits?!
