Just a little more expensive than any other markets in Yogyakarta (usually around 1K to 3K more for raw food if you don't offer bargains). But that's the price of a great location (at the center of the city) and cleaner, less humid place.

One stop traditional market at the heart of Jogja. You can find beef, pork, chicken, fish and lots of vegetables as well as fruit. It has just been renovated but they cannot seem to maintain proper standard of cleanliness.

Behind the market, you can find small stall right at the front yard of Kranggan temple, selling bakso babi-pork meatball. Cheap and not bad.

Cleaner than most traditional market, it got so many varieties of foods and more. But you must be careful, cause the parking lot is so limited and the keepers often asked for more.

If you stop at Yogyakarta and looking for local food, you have to go to Pasar Kranggan. You can wait a women with big white basket, called Trubus. She sells very good local food.

A traditional market located on strategic place. The side where face Diponegoro street was full with gadget stores. There are also some delicious food stalls open till late night. The Kranggan street side was traditional market exactly. It was always crowded everyday. The cleanliness need to be improved more.
