Quite old. Too pricey with that quality. There is no small towel near washtafel and some other defects in the room. But the location is very near to airport, but quite far from the city

I was here very recently and I loved the hotels ambience. It's situated within a huge area effigy also houses a golf course. The rooms are clean and the breakfast offered is superior. There is a convention hall right next door and it was an easy walk to it (where I was attending a conference).
The staff are uber cool and always had a smile on their lips. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Service from staff very good, location a bit out of city, so plan your trips into the city to avoid rush hours.
Hotel getting a bit old, there’s a crack in the hand washing sink, hot water took a while to come out, door to our room needs to be wiggled and forced open a bit.

Novotel Manado Golf Resort & Convention Center

We stayed from 17-24 Dec 2017.

Hotel staff were kind enough to shift & upgrade our room due to cleaniness issue at the first room given (1115) on our check-in date.

And straight away, on the same date, our bad experiences commenced.
Admitted, it's my mistake to left my wristwatch in the previous room. About two hours past then I came to realize. Hotel staff contacted, and my wristwatch declared not found, it's gone.

That evening Hotel staff response was unbearably slow, in my opinion, they took it too lightly. After sometime waiting for never coming duty manager I had to leave hotel for my kids dinner.
By accident, on the way out I met the Security Supervisor, nobody from hotel staff advised him about the incident, he was made aware only after I informed him.

After returning hotel that night, then we could meet the DM. Like it's not a big deal, he said they would start the investigation tomorrow morning.
Till I told him the actions I'll take to escalate this incident, then he realized how messed up they were.
He tried to process the incident that night, but it's too late already, shift already changed.

In the following morning, I found the security report tossed in below my room door. Well, as expected, every person went inside room 1115 after we shifted, started from the receptionist who received the room key from us to housekeeping guy next after, declared none found.

I can easily buy another wristwatch, but that one, was so special, a gift from my wife, more than 10 years I loved to use. She bought it when she didn't have much money.

Till we left the hotel, no other follow up from hotel management.
So it's just lost, ironically on our check-in date.

Noticed, there are major airlines crew stayed at this hotel for transit purposes.
They are busy people, potentially could left something behind. Maybe they will be treated differently.

Housekeeping management really poor, it took 2 days for the staff to understand & can meet our request for additional blankets and towels. And it only last a day, next guy took the extra towel away following morning.
Extra bed need hours to be provided.

Poor training.

Secure car parking system not available. Guest has to park their car few hundred meters away from lobby on open yard. You could park the car at lobby area, but you have to leave car key with hotel staff and will be given a receipt card, printed with disclaimer hotel will take no responsibility for any bad things happened beyond their control, including theft.
Vehicles enter the area will be stopped by security guy, only to ask where you want to go. But for leaving vehicles, nobody bothered to stop you, no means of control provided for exit.

Swimming pool available until dark hours. There are 3 shielded electrical cables visible on the pool side running into water to 3 lighting fixtures. Each of these light are not properly secured/ firmly attached to the wall in the water. One of the electrical cable looks like being manually spliced and covered, submerged.
Does not look good and not meeting my safety standards, photos taken.
Upon noticing this condition, my family immediately left the pool.

A normal deviation? Or it's a tip of an iceberg, some bigger issues waiting to rise.

Hotel staff are nice and I can see they felt sorry too, I respect them. But one culprit remains unknown.

Breakfast served well, pastries surprisingly delicious for choco bread & brownies.

At H2O pool bar, Heineken Draught available & Vita Lite drinks taste really good.

Well, definitely I won't be returning to this hotel neither recommend to friends. Hotel location closed to my family residence, that's the only advantage and reason I decided to continue our stay here.

The alternative and solution will be through Airbnb next time, available at Menado and in this particular area.

This is the first poor performance Novotel we've stayed so far.
Hopefully other Novotel Hotels will continue to serve with better, safer & reliable services.

Handy for the airport but the place is very red rooms needed basic work doing to it part of the floor is rotten food is average food and beer expensive come pared to the room rate staff very friendly and helpful but still glad it was only one night I was stopping

Good for first steps in Manado when arriving. Near the airport and a cat expansive place with a nice pool. Only the Stars because the restaurant / bar / breakfast is mediocre. Breakfast is poor. There is only powdered coffee.

Excellent large rooms, showers, comfortable bed and bedding, huge pool, and generous buffet breakfast. Very good restaurant though service is definitely on island time. Grounds are lovely and there is a spa.

We were there for one nightbooked for 5 rooms, and 3 rooms was not clean, all the room was smoking room, couple rooms were with dust, felts like the room has not been use for awhile. even the toilet set was dirty with urine stains. Elevator was broken when we were there.. need to hand care the supper heavy diving baggage from 4th floor to 2nd floors. Overall, its not a 4 stars hotel. Very disappointed with Novotel.

It's a golf resort hotel which once known as kawanua hotel (according to local driver on my way to the hotel). The access to get in is in short walk from the main road, especially when you take public trasnport

I normally get room at first floor. This time i got the 4th, and the room was awful. It's dusty (i had to wiped everything or I'd sneeze all night) not to mention the bathroom wooden door is a bit moldy. Water wasnt very hot, and as a twin bedroom we only have one towel (they sent another right away after we called). Tbh I'm disappointed.

The Novotel is the default choice for anyone staying overnight for late/early flights as it is only 15mins from the airport and is essentially the only out of town hotel apart from dive resorts. I have stayed a couple of times each visit separated by about a year and each time the gripes have been the same. The price is fair and does not include breakfast (makes sense for those departing for early morning flights) and the rooms are cosy and well furnished with a mini chaise longue and big beds. The bathrooms are clean and still up to date. The downsides which seems consistent are that WiFi Internet is pretty slow by even local standards. The second is that the in-room air con seems to stop cooling at random and you wake up hot and bothered. These may just be intermittent faults that I happen to have had on my visits but I feel they need addressing if not. Overall a good option if you are diving on Bangka, Lembeh or Bunaken and need to stay close to the airport on arrival or departure but as a main destination look elsewhere.

I love this hotel and I've been stayed here for 2 week. Close to airport and about 45 minutes drive from downtown. The room is clean, interior is nice and the outdoors is the best, oh don't forget the food. They serve tradisional and international food, so you really don't need to worry about it.

I recently stayed there due to a wedding in family at this hotel. The service at the front desk is reasonably quick (both when we checked in and checked out), the staff were polite and helpful. I am not familiar with using macintosh, and the CS staff patiently and politely assisted me through the web check in for my flight. The room was nice completed with all the necessities you would need when travelling: hairdryer that works (sometimes they don't in some other hotels I stayed in), coffee/tea and boiler, slippers, etc. The hotel has spacious landscape of greens, good security, and has enough selection for breakfast.
It also has a small beauty parlour with English speaking yet nice hairdresser and make up. And the price is quite reasonable for a traveller. So this hotel is quite complete.

Great hotel with all amenities. We booked through Agoda and were promised a free shuttle to pick us up. None showed up as Agoda have wrong info. However staff friendly, fully equipped gym and pool and just a lovely place to be in. Add extra $6 and you have breakfast included.
