If you visited Sumatra, don't forget to see how the beautiful Toba Lake and then just cross the lake into Samosir Island. In Samosir Island, you must go to Huta museum. Its a traditional Sumatran houses.in there you can find the traditional dance, its called Tor-Tor dance.

I was there, no care, old place, kind dirty, not organised, nothing is open, only one room display dusty and difficult to read or understand. who work there as you pay they disaper, dance performance by old woman and not interested like they were forced to do it. Don't west your time there.

A much better traditional dance experience than Sigale Sigale near Toba beach. There's a significant cast of villagers and a real buffalo. A lot of tourists arrive here by tour boat (I rode a motorcycle). There is shaded seating if you get there a little bit before the performance. It's out of the way but worth the trip. The scenery on the way their is really beautiful. It's a little disappointing that you can't go into the big houses behind the dancers but I think that's because they're actually being lived in.
