A good mountain for a newbie hiker. Around 2050MDPL. To aim the summit, you may go from 3 gates: Mawar, the most common and popular. You will need around 2 - 4 hours to hike up. Going down is even much faster. The new short cut is better, but be careful with the bugs. Having a bugs spray/lotions is wise. You can hike up from Gedong Songo. Probably the hardest. But the thick forest is thrilling. Via Botak is the best for the view. The landscape is amazing. The bugs is even worst. Long pants and long sleeved clothes is recommended. By the way, the Mawar basecamp crew are awesome. They are very helpful and has created the base camp to be an enjoyable, clean and comfortable place. The warung at Mawar also provides lots of things such as food, renting tent, mats etc.

It take you 6 kilometers of hiking to reach the summit from Basecamp mawar. But very fun trail. And Easy. Be care full with the track is very slippery some Times. Water can be accessed in the river near post 1 and 2

A good mountain for a newbie hiker. Around 2000mdpl. Via mawar would be the easiest. Via Gedong Songo is the hardest. Via Batok is the most beautiful.

The Mount Ungaran is not too high and the peak can be approached by a rookie. At the peak, if you lucky, you can see the beautiful nature of Rawa Pening, Semarang, and mountains.
