My boyfriend was feeling sick but manager Hery and his friends were doing their best to make him feel better by providing tea with garden herbs. Both of the bungalow types look nice, the bamboo one has a warm shower. They took us on a fun trip to the Tetebatu cave waterfall, definitely recommended. If you visit Tetebatu, stay with these boys.

Gorgeous little bungalows with an open air shower. It was very clean and super cosy. They served great food too. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but could aptly be summed up as eccentric burnouts.

Simple and Quiet. Pleasant surrounding. Cold water only. Restaurant just opened. The management is a bit hippy-like with sometimes loud music. At other side of road is Resto Daun with frequent live music. Bit noisy altogether.

For those who fancy a bit of something different in lombok, why not come spend a day or two with Harry and his family in Tetebatu, situated south of Mt Rinjani. Here you will find the most warm and inviting community in all of lombok. From here you can visit the local waterfalls; fresh local produce at the Kotaraja markets; cruise the countryside and adore the amazing scenery the region offers. This is not a tourist hub of the likes of Gili or Kuta, these people are genuine and treat their guests as friends. (Psst! Try the local rice wine for a taste of something different, 10K idr/500ml, your hosts will tell you how to find it). Please enjoy their hospitality fellow travellers.

Nous avions choisi ce logement pour la beauté des lieux et, il s'agit là du seul point sur lequel nous n'avons pas été déçus. En effet, le logement est tout à fait conforme à la photo, et c'est d'ailleurs pour cela que nous avons été très déçus d'être mis dehors.. En effet, après 24h là bas, on nous annonce tout bonnement que l'on doit partir car ils ont fait une erreur et des autraliens arrivent dès lendemain. Pour notre plus grand désespoir, ils ont réservés les deux bungalows.. on ne fait pas le point, on nous annonce clairement et sans ménagement qu'il faut que l'on parte avant le lendemain midi. S'en suit une série de mensonges, chacun d'entre eux a une version diffèrente mais toujours aussi peu agréable! On s'inquiète de l'endroit où l'on dormira le lendemain, il faut dire que l'on a déjà payer par le site Airbnb.. Et pourtant, nous voilà coincés. On nous promet un logement équivalent, heureusement nous avons le bon sens de demander à le voir avant d'accepter quoi que ce soit. Nous voilà alors face à une mauvaise fois écrasante! Le dit logement, aux airs de vieux camp de vacances désinfecté perdu en pleine jungle, frole l'insalubrité et sent l'insécurité à plein nez. Nous refusons très clairement, et n'apprécions vraiment pas que l'on nous prenne pour des imbéciles. Arya ne semble pas tolérer notre refus, il fait alors appel à deux autres personnes. Leur culot est sans égale, désormais ils affirment qu'ils font tout pour nous venir en aide et que l'on y met pas du notre, que nous ne sommes pas sympa. Nous refusons le joint allumé qu'ils nous tendent, la conversation s'éternise, il fait nuit depuis un bon moment déjà .. Les trois hommes commencent même par s'énerver. Nous comprenons bien que nous n'avons pas le choix.. Lorsqu'ils nous propose un autre logement, certes moins agréable mais au moins salubre, nous acceptons. Le lendemain, pas un sourire, pas un bonjour.. On croisera même Arya au marché qui nous ignorera royalement. Nous avons dû nous débrouiller seul pour le changement de logement et se battre à nouveau pour avoir une connexion wifi dans notre nouveau bungalow, tout le monde semble avoir oublié ses promesses de la veille maintenant que nous sommes partis de ce logement.. Notre séjour au Matra Cottage fut plus éprouvant qu'agréable. Nous sommes repartis fatigués nerveusement de devoir se battre constamment pour avoir quelque chose que nous avions payé.. Après un moins de voyage, on peut vous dire que nous n'avons jamais été aussi mal accueilli en Indonésie. Nous ne comprenons toujours pas leur comportement aussi désagréable que malhonnête. Nous vous le déconseillons fortement.
Ps. Si vous passez par là , aller manger un poulet curry dans le restaurant proposant de manger dans de petite cabane près d'un plan d'eau, vous ne pourrez qu'apprécier la nourriture et l'incroyable gentillesse du propriétaire !response / report this review -

Welcome to Hotel Tetebatu! Its such a lovely place! The Bungalows are very modern, clean and well-appointed. The location is very central and close to the waterfalls and rice terraces. You can reach everything by foot or take a scooter for more action and a authentic lombok experience. The guys working in the Hotel expecially Herry are awesome and do literally everything for you to feel like home. They provide everything you need e.g scooter, personal driver, food(great food btw), tours etc. Moreover they go with you to the villages and show you the locals and the real life, how they work and live. The locals are very lovely and hospitable. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. You did a great job guys! And lots of kisses to the hotelcat Rob :)
