The grandness is noticeable.
The details of it is magnificent.
It could be more beneficial to the congregation if the management of it had activities to increase the usage of the rooms at the basement.

Poor ground floor design. Wet toilet floor with very limited units. Low quality construction, ceiling drop. So many unused space. Abondoned garden. Women ablution area is not properly covered because of the wood craft wall. Very sad. Only prayer hall get the marks.

A grand mosque of West Sumatra, probably the larges mosque in West Sumatra. This mosque had a very width field and a capacious parking lot. The bathroom is so far from the pray area, but not so far. This mosque is still brand new, and lots a lots a people wanna go here because the place is very unique, it’s different from the other mosque I’ve ever seen. The place has no AC unit but it’s still cold inside.

The mosque is a world class design particularly it brings out the silhouette of the traditional west Sumatra roof style. It is a beautiful work of art, inside and out. The superb exterior has a traditional spiked roof and many external ornaments. Inside is a beautiful domed space, with lovely Islamic patterns on walls and doors. The ceiling is superb.

Do dress appropriately if you want to enter the mosque and remove your shoes, you are welcome to visit (but not at prayer times, of course). even if one knows nothing about Islam it is worth a visit.

Ideally visit when there are not a lot of tour buses present!

An unique and majestic grand mosque in West Sumatra which located in the heart of Padang city. It can be reach easily from any directions by public transport. As the center of Islamic religious activity in Padang, it also very popular as a tourism object which attract local and foreign tourist every day through its architecture which designed by a local architect. For sure, it's an icon of Padang..so don't missed it while you're stranded in this city ;)

The iconic mosque of the province. But as a local, I have to say that there's a lack of maintenance. Sometimes the carpet gets smelly, or there's a problem with the water flow etc. I hope the management can figure something out to make it better

Nearly as perfect masjid to be visited. Great design with traditional ethnic touch. Large parking area, but we got a little problem with water when we was here.

This place is surely still under construction. It was amazingly huge building with no pilars inside. There's islamic art inside and outside building. When you look up the ceiling, there's 99 names of Allah craft in modern calligraphy. There large parking area, which fits for busses. Sound system were good. Although some public facilities need to be done faster. Such a great memories to visit and pray here.

Belum sempat masuk kedalam, namun ketika melintas didepan masjid ini seolah masjid berbisik, "singgah lah sabanta nak.."

Update (27 Okt 2017): masjid masih progress, belum selesai secara keseluruhan. Namun, ruang utama (lt. 2) sudah difungsikan untuk shalat berjamaah yang nyaman. Ruang wudhu di lantai 1. Tempat parkir luas. MasyaAllah, dari pesawat saja sudah megah, ketika didekati memang megah sangat. 💪

I was expecting more than this. Beautiful from outside and worst from inside. A lot of urinoir were broken and was not working anymore. Better build smaller mosque and well managed than this huge mosque. Please keep it working.

Love it. Huge. Looks like some parts are still under construction. It' s a good place to be good. 99 M tower and soon to come the parking lot that can contain up to 1.000 cars. BNI 46 is working on the parks and gonna donate 2 big screens. Currently they have 20 securities guarding the place. Free parking too.

An gorgeous mosque, has the combination of Sumatra traditional roof bagonjong with the islamic architecture. The interior is carpeted. I visited it when it was under minor construction, but still attractive to the local people.

Though it is not considered 100% completed, still this huge mosque is beautiful. Hopefully by the completion later on, it can attract more people to visit and pray there.
