Masjid megah dg ruang utama yg luas tanpa tiang. Kubah raksasa yg indah & karpet yg nyaman.Kaligrafi & ukiran sangat detail & berwarna keemasan. Sayangnya lantai lengket, tidak ada penitipan sandal, air mancur kering, pelataran kotor banyak sampah, pedagang tidak tertata, & parkiran amburadul.

A good place for maintain and upgrade your faith. If you want to learn more about Islam or convert to Islam, this place can be your destination. Many lectures and discussions held here. Also at the bottom and top of the masjid can be use for marriage party or formal class. Very cozy and recommended place for itikaf and pray. But, the park cost is nearly high so bring your cash.

The Great Mosque of Surabaya, center of Islamic activities in Surabaya. The mosque city council are here. One of the biggest mosque in Surabaya, with modern architecture and beautiful landscape can held up to thousands ummat. When the Ramadan comes, the mosque were full by ummat doing pray, read the holly Quran and so on.

One of famous and big mosque in Surabaya city. It's really beautiful and amazing build technology they used. If you visit Surabaya don't miss to see it. It have big parking area for cars as well as motorcycle, and easy to access in normal traffic coz it's located in center of many link roads.

One of the big mosques in Surabaya. The praying hall is very big, can accomodate for thousands worshippers. The second floor is used for some occasional events. There is a clinic also at the lower ground. The Mosque has only one Minaret that can enjoy the skyline of the city.

Very peaceful place. This is a huge mosque in Surabaya. There's a tower you can visit next to car park. You can pay and go upstairs to see beautiful scenery of Surabaya.

The National Great Mosque of Surabaya is the iconic place in East Java and famous Masjid in Indonesia. The architecture was great and become reference for many cities to imitate like Masjid Al Akbar Surabaya.
The various agenda held by the Mosque for those who want to develop their Islamic knowledge and quran studies.
When it comes to Ramadhan Month, this place is crowded by people who spend their time for praying until the dawn prayer. When maghrib comes, the council of mosque often provide many dishes and drinks for those who want to break their fasting.

The main reason i visited Surabaya was to see the Al-Akbar Mosque and was very meaningful, unforgettable..
I spent 13 hours in this gorgeous mosque..
The mosque has complete facilities such as elevators, escalators, wheelchair accessible entrances, bathrooms with showers, free charging (socket-outlets) and drinking water are also available..
Staff very helpful when asked..

The parking is very spacious and clean. It is a very big and very beautiful mosque. The interior is amazing! Monochrome Islamic ornaments are very nice and beautiful. At certain times the mosque was used for weddings. How vast the area of ​​the mosque, you will be tired walking around.

First I came here only for taking pictures from outside. Then I had a chance for visiting this masjid again for the second time from my friend's wedding ceremonial. Women must wear hijab when coming inside this masjid and if you don't wear one, then the staff will lend you a hijab to be wore.

Its one of biggest mosque in Indonesia, probably 2nd biggest, ecen though its hot and sunny on tye outside, the inside is cold so its really comfortable. Lots of space to pray, the dome from the inside is really hypnotic, creating unlimited space feel when look at. While the wall ia beautiful combination of gold and green interior, really nice.. Make sure to go to top of the tower, to see aerial view of scenic Surabaya city. Love it!

Masjid Nacional Al Akbar in the city of Surabaya, Indonesia is one of the most beautiful mosques I have visited after the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah. The mosque was built in 1995 and it can hold more than 70,000 people.

Really beautiful mosque.
Much more impressive than most other mosques you will come across in Indonesia.
It's a bit annoying that you can't enter the mosque as a non-Muslim.
