  This was landmark of the area. Used to be an old mosque but was renovated to modern building around 2000's.
  A historic place and maybe played significant role in development of Islam in Makassar.

  This mosque is located in the center of the city and is one of the large mosques that people visit for prayer. It has a big Quran which is displayed on the top floor.

  Always happy to pray at Masjid Raya Makassar. The parking area is quite large, and the staff is always ready to arrange cars and bikes. The mosque itself is clean, and the cleaning staff are always available, particularly around the toilet and ablution areas. The water is always available, and happy to see that hand soap is also provided hanging at some areas

  Perfect place to pray, one of the icon of Muslim life in Makassar, Last time I visited when they repair roof of the main hall, thus we had prayed on the ground floor..
  
  Need to improve toilet cleaning and sandal parking that was managed by local children which is sometimes annoying
