I arrived at 5.50pm and they said no flipflops and shorts after 6pm. I get it if a restaurant wants to have a dress code. But nowhere on the website does it state that. Unless you count "Smart & casual attire is kindly requested". I got casual right on. Case of poor english perhaps? They probably mean Smart Casual. Loewy please update your website to clearly reflect your desired dress code. Otherwise very annoying if I've made plans to dine here and end up being rejected. Pity since I'm a regular brunch customer and the food is good.

Our experience started out rocky and ended very well. We arrived from BART bar in shorts and sandals. We had went to Skye bar and then were refused into The Cloud at The Plaza because of their stupid dress code.
The bartender at BART suggested Loewy as a place that would allow us in. So we took the 30 min taxi to be told that we could not enter. I was pretty perturbed and asked for the manager. The manager made an exception for us and forced us to sit at a booth. I immediately found us four seats at the bar. We proceeded to have a fantastic time with amazing Old Fashions, two steak dinners and a delicious crafted vanilla ice cream and Blantons Bourbon desert.
We really enjoyed Arie, the bartender and the food was fantastic. Very happy that this bar is learning to relax the dress code. Judging from the trip advisor reviews, it's about time.
We will NEVER return to Cloud at Plaza. They're stupid.

I didn’t have a reservation but can always get a drink at the bar. Had this special Old Fashioned with a slice of bread and jam. I was a bit sheepish to walk around with a drink glass topped with bread, so I quickly ate that first. Drink itself was tasty. Great place. I’ve been coming here for years.

One of the more upscale place to hangout and drink. Atmosphere is good and it is a good place to people watch. No live music but the atmosphere is good enough. There are outside seating and it's open air in the inside. Drinks are good yet expensive. Food is reasonably priced and tasty. Parking is a bit troublesome. The only thing about this place is that you need to wear shoes for some reason.

Wow. Very jam-packed place for a drink and/or meal. It's good to reserve first. Nice decor, lovely bar, and beautiful place overall. You can see many expats, business visitors, as well as other crowd. Management must have done something right here. Wine list is good. While the food is OK in general, Loewy is a good place to drink wine.

J'en ai assez. Tidak sepantasnya customer yang sedang ditengah menikmati hidangan dipindahkan begitu saja. Pelayanannya tidak dengan pertimbangan sopan santun, dan complain kami tidak ditangani dengan baik oleh managernya, baik secara solusi maupun sikap. Poin penting yang saya tangkap yaitu beliau tidak take responsibility atas kesalahan service failure yang terjadi. Saya kaget waktu mendengar "saya juga gatau mau bikin apa" Maaf, ini relasi customer dengan service provider, bukan relasi pertemanan. Saya pikir restoran berkiblat prancis servicesnya punya etiket yg baik. Masukan untuk pelayanan selanjutnya, harap perhatikan bahwa setiap orang yang datang punya hak yang sama untuk menikmati hidangan. Merci, mais je n'irai plus jamais là-bas.

Very trendy restaurant in kuningan, nice deco and a good variety menu, a place to be seen and to see, is a mix of expatriates and locals, but year after year the food quality is steady they all so offer a good selection of cocktails and diversity of wines, is highly recommended to book a table in advance particular on the weekend's.
They have seats at the bar if you are solo guest inside and also outside, the only negative part is that is all smoking area. Always great music ambiance playing in the style of a chill out bar, also opens for lunch highly recommend

the opening hours you find on their website are not the real ones. they say seven days a week open at 07.30 am and that's simply NOT true. i arrived at 07.30 am and i was told that will open at 09.00 a.m..disappointing.
is more than 5 years that i am used to go to Loewy and i see that the Food quality moved from good to pretty average. I had organic chicken and inside was still raw.

In general I find this bar to be very good with a few notable items. The music in the dining area is way too loud. The food quality whilst generally good is quite inconsistent. Ie. Vegetables and potatoes being cold yet the steak is hot. Choice of cocktails and liquor is great. Quality of service when sat at the bar is fantastic, less so when sat in the dining area.

Very nice casual bar restaurant that attracts a large number of corporate clients from surrounding office blocks in the Kuningan area of Jakarta. Friendly service and great food options at mediocre prices. Very busy at lunch and dinner times and reservations are strongly recommended.

Awesome place to have brunch. Great crowds, great service with excellent foods.

Had home made bacon steak, egg Benedict and this ice cream dessert. Mouth watering to just thinking about em!

Pricey as the target market is not an average income worker. The place and service is nice, the food and beverages are good. A comfy place for many migrant worker (some people call them expats) to meet during and after working hours.

Nice. Quick service. Breakfast food was good. Not too big on pork products - it is a Muslim country. So, ateTurkey sausage and beef bacon with scrambled eggs. Mixed kiwi and strawberry drink was Yum! Kid-friendly. Wifinot fast!

One of the pioneer of east-west cafe in a cozy western minimalist setting in Jakarta. Must not miss Loewy fish & chips. Generous portion & tasty. Great drinks, alcoholic or not. Good prices. Too crowded though.

If you are looking for European or American food in Jakarta, Loewy is hard to beat. A reasonable range of food choices and an ok wine list were not quite enough to overcome the increasingly intrusive music and the smoke. But this is Jakarta, and this a popular hit shot with locals and foreigners alike.
Prices were high by Jakarta standards, but moderate from where I come from.

I had duck confict and it is pretty nice. It is served with saute green bean with beef bacon and roasted potato.
The waiters and waitresses are also pretty responsive. It does not take them long if you ask for something.
Last but not least, the place is cosy and clean. It is a good place to hang out.

I had a brunch with a friend, we had bread basket and 'the full monty' which was way overpriced compared to English Breakfast, it had less food on the plate (surprised to see that). When we asked for the bill it took so long while there were only around 8 tables with customers, when the bill came was the wrong one and again waited for the bill. Such a pity, I've been eating here since 2011, the food quality and service is way below standard for the price we had to pay.

This place was fun for drinking nights and dinner, but I've recently visited this place more often for breakfasts.

Terrible service during the mornings, staff were slow & and couldn't serve us properly.

The full monty, which seems to be their flagship breakfast, had terrible taste.

Normally I have a great time here. And love the steak and eggs. Today I ordered a medium steak and was served this. After asking the waiter to show it to the chef, was told that this is their standard medium.

I've been to Loewy almost 10 times, and it's never failed to disappoint. All of the food is excellent. The only reason I give this a 4 is that service is sometimes on demand, meaning you have to initiate it. For some reason the cocktails also taste better at the bar. Greeting staff is wonderful, they make you feel like you belong there.

Decent food but the service can be really patchy- as an example at my last visit there was a 1 hour wait for dessert, asking 5 times for a beer etc. I also deduct stars for lame dress code and allowing smoking indoors (there is an outdoor area and indoor smoking is illegal in jakarta but who cares)

Highly recommend this place. My favorite is steak tartar with Belgian fries. So good. The place is half open and has a relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of wines and beers. Upscale place with good value for money. Worth trying out!

I came here for the first time for the succulent steak, then again for steak and/or drink with some finger foods/desserts. And they are all good to great. I don't really much of a drinker but they do make really good cocktail. The place is a really cool place to chill and unwind with seamless of indoor and outdoor seating with open shutter doors, which is a brilliant idea.

“Lunch & cocktails, and more”
I’ve had the pleasure of eating (and drinking) at Loewy a few times, and never been disappointed. Friends working in the area are great fans of the place, and they do indeed have nice food. They also have great margaritas, which may or may not be enjoyed for lunch, depending on you being one of the working guests, or just dropping by on a suitable day. Bit on the expensive side, but good service and with the option of sitting outside if that’s your thing. I’ll be back!

One of the crowded foreigners spots in Jakarta. Usually it's crowded from Monday to Friday nights. I've heard people saying that the service is not good but usually I sit at the bar and my sister knows the mixologist so the service is okay. The food is good. They have a wide a variety, from Asian cuisine to Western and else. For appetizers or finger food, I like their spicy garlic chicken wing. I have yet to find another bar or restaurant serving it.

I really need to update my rate & review. Visiting again and my whole experience tuned upside-down. Sat with my expatriates colleges and the servers (yes, PLURAL, saying couple of them) that serving our table were really irritating. They can smile and serve well to my two 'bule' colleges, but not even try to behave to me and my another local friend. I thought it was just me until then my friends confirmed the same bad services.
It's me paying the bills, why would these servers expresses such cranky mood to us? I even asked them nicely in proper Bahasa.

I don't think will come again, not recommended at all. Bad services will go viral!

Most of the crowd are expatriates, but local always welcome with the same standard of service. They serves good coffee for long chat, and the ambience was perfect to spend hours to hangout from evening till midnight

Went back to this place after so many years. The place still as chic as I remembered. I try British Beef Curry. Taste a bit less of a curry than I expected (normally it's Lamb-Indian-Style), but it's nice and quite filling for break fasting.

Love how spacious the entire interior is. The staff were very friendly and took initiative to also be of assistance. Food wise most of our orders were amazing, especially the steak and eggs, except for the waffles which I felt fell a bit flat.

A fine place to hang out as a watering hole with friends. Almost always crowded with mostly expat community. Service is a hit or miss depending on where you are seated. Need some effort to get the waiters' attention.

Food is standard and prices are also standard for such a joint. Quite a good variety of mains, sides and desserts. Nicely decorated place which resembles a saloon.

Barbecue is excellent and the other foods are serviceable, but the service is truly horrible.

As I am writing this review, though, I have been informed that the barbecue is not officially part of the menu, but is instead a traveling speciality. I would, if not for the exertion required to change my review from the 2 stars I initially submitted to the 1 star this restaurant deserves, revise my rating. Beware.
