Overall a great place.
We were especially impressed by the restaurant. They make both great local and international food.
The Dive guides are amazing. We were lucky and were mostly in small groups of 2. The large groups are also only 4 ppl which is perfectly fine.
The Boats mostly return to the resort after each dive.
We were in a Hillside Luxury Cottage, which was amazing. The views are great and the room was spacious.

Stayed at Lembeh at the end of the Murex Passport to Paradise tour. And this was absolutely the order in which to do it, with Lembeh last. Everything about this resort is outstanding! The rooms, the food, the resort and mostly the staff. It felt like my own personal Fantasy Island. :). The attention to detail is amazing from nightly turndown gifts on your pillow to your own personalized towel and drink cups on dive boats to your outdoor dive locker and the dive and camera services. I can't say enough. Management greeted us warmly and enjoyed most every meal with us. Every single staff member knew your first name - unbelievable. I also enjoyed the Tangkoko Park tour and the staff bent over backwards helping arrange my transport around dive times.
My only less than perfect experience was a rental camera that stopped working on my last day such that I was unable to take photos on my last dive. And the overwhelming trash in the region (not blaming this resort of the people of Indonesia for) it's just a fact of our modern day world and very sad. I felt compelled to pick up trash whenever I was diving and snorkeling. The plastics are everywhere. We saw a large turtle on surface that our guides assumed was dying. I can only hope it was because of natural causes and not due to ingestion of trash :(

Lembeh Resort is a very famous dive resort that has been ranked No. 1 by various diving magazines in Europe and the United States. Yet, it is unknown in Japan.
I visited there three years ago when Corona was first launched in Northern Italy and Iran, and I visited there again. I was warmly welcomed by the staff at that time. Some of them came from Europe, the U.S., and Brazil! Muck diving, where you can meet small, mysterious, and cute creatures, is not recommended for those who want to see fish in clear water. However, divers from all over the world come to this wonderful resort to see the diversity of marine life. There are five dive boats, and the number of divers per dive site is fixed, so you can dive in comfort. The guides are all highly skilled and were able to find most of the species we requested to see. After returning from the dive, we had coffee by the pool and enjoyed cookies and sweets while setting up our cameras. There is a large camera room for changing batteries and recharging. The camera store is also fully equipped and perfect for sales and repairs.
The cottages are comfortable and tastefully decorated, some on the ocean side, some on a hill, and some in a grove of trees.
The restaurant house on the second floor of the reception is also very nice. The food is continental + main dish + Indonesian food without spices and a lot of desserts! Every day is fun, but be careful not to eat too much!
I will go back again. I will go back even when I am older!response / report this review -

Easy to get to from Singapore with a direct Scoot flight. Drive from the airport is a short hour or so before we hop on a boat for a quick ride to the resort. Friendly staff welcome us and take the effort to remember our names which is a nice touch.
We got the garden villa rooms which weren’t much to shout about but decent enough with cold AC and a large warm shower area.
Dining area was nice and spacious with fans all around to keep things breezy but the highlight were the dinners. Order the seafood as those were really good but the others like beef burgers weren’t shabby either.
And of course, this is a dive resort so here’s the important details you’d want to hear. Dive boats are comfortable and they don’t stuff too many on a boat. We had 5 pax in our group led by 2 friendly dive guides. Dives were all Nitrox so get certified before heading over if you aren’t already. We had loads to see and the guides helped us with camera and light positioning too. Never seen that many octopus, frog fish and many interesting critters.
Wouldn’t be a review without mentioning the negatives, room AC sometimes noisy, washroom not for the hygiene freaks and if it’s rainy, get the insect repellent out cos the bugs, especially mozzies, are far too friendly.
Overall it’s a great place to dive and the friendly staff from dining to dive makes it worthwhile for repeated visits. Bonus points goes to the absolutely stunning sunsets.response / report this review -

We did our quarantine stay at Lembeh Resort with a toddler and can highly recommend it. Wonderful views at an ancient volcano and the Lembeh Strait. Clean, modern houses with big verandas. Food was the best we ever had in Indo. Service and Team was superb. Even though it was quarantine we had a memorable, great time here in North Sulawesi!

Your best friend in Lembeh!
I attended the Underwater Macro Videography Workshop with Sascha Janson in July 2017. From the very first minutes after arrival to the resort we felt like we visited our old friends, who missed you for years and are very happy to finally see you, and who are trying their best to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. All resort staff was very friendly and helpful. They memorized first name of every guest, and were greeting everyone by their first name.
If there is any personal event, they will make sure that it is celebrated as well. I did my 100th dive during this trip, and they carved a water melon for me and decorated my bed. It was very touching and much appreciated.
One of the advantages of going to a such remote place is that most guests are very experienced divers (and in this case UW photographers), and being surrounded by such an experienced group of divers was an extra benefit. With my 100 dives I was one of the most 'junior' divers (not by age although).
The Workshop with the Award-Winning UW Photo/Video Pro Sascha Janson that I attended was very intensive and was delivered very well. Sascha kept the group very small (4 people), which had many benefits. I was not surprised that I learned a lot, but in our group there were two very experienced UW videographers, who mentioned that the workshop was very useful to them as well. In addition, Sascha was very helpful not only with giving tones of tips and tricks, but also with equipment. It felt like he knows and could fix anything.
Our boat crew was excellent, and critter hunters, Fandy and Vadly, were amazing in finding all those small critters that Lembeh is famous for.
My wife, who is not a diver, had a very good time as well. She took a trip to the village, had massage every other day (Angel is an excellent masseur) and went with us to a few dive sites for snorkelling.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the resort, and we would give it a nickname "Your best friend in Lembeh".
Big THANK YOU to the resort management, Morten and Petra, Lauren and Sascha, who created such genuinely friendly atmosphere and made our stay such a pleasure. We hope to see you again in the future.response / report this review -

I have been to lembeh 2 times and will be going again in a few weeks. yes its worth the trip. great diving a very comfortable place to stay and the food is very good . the staff is always ready to make your stay a time you will not soon forget. you will want to return.

NAD Lembeh has everything for the UW photographer at a reasonable cost: a safe dive operation, knowledgeable guides, comfortable rooms, good food, and a dedicated room for camera maintenance. They know all the great dive sites and interact with guests, so you feel welcome. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Great dive guides. They never lost track of anyone even when the vis wasn't so good. Photographers can be tricky to keep track of especially when there are a lot of us
The food was good and the cabins neat. The boats are also very good and the dive crews were pleasant and helpful. The resort has an underwater photographer on staff that is there to help anyone who needs it and to repair equipment if necessary.
