Food could have been nice if it would have been at least warm. Both mains were served cold. Got different ice creams than ordered.
Last but not least, sold us the happy hour as ”buy 2 get 1 free”, when it came to payment, only the 3rd drink was free. But even cocktail number 4 was different than ordered.
Every course had an issue and we left quite frustrated after an argument with the waiters. There wasn't even an offer to compensate the mistakes.
Not worth the high price.

Main was served cold, ordered ice cream hasn't been served correctly, happy hour for cocktails was explain incorrectly with buy one get one free which wasn't the case as you must order 2 cocktails for getting one free. This was sold to us differently.
It could be a nice place however every course had an serving issue.

Great location, nice set-up and delicious food from a French Chef (western as well as local dishes), nice and helpful waiters and an owner who stops by at every table for a chat and makes sure you feel welcomed and everything's alright! Highly recommended!

Excellent Food. Everything was great. I recommend you to take the tuna tartare and homemade ice cream. Mike the owner is always around and very nice with the clients. Best restaurant in Gili Air!

Tuna tataki was excellent. Carbonara was good as well. Fish plate was bit dried. In general very recommendable. P.s. be careful the cats under your table!!

Took us an hour to get our meal (refresher salad, a summer salad roll and vegetable curry), even though the restaurant was only serving two pther tables. This was the longest time I have ever waited for a salad roll. On top of that the food was nothing to brag about, bland and barely edible, and this is after being ravenous from waiting so long for our food.

We went here our first night in Gili Air. Recommended by our hotel but it was not a good experience
I have a gluten allergy and, upon viewing the menu, I asked the waiter (who discussed with the chef) if the Mahi Mahi steak was available gluten free. I was assured that it was and that I could choose my side dishes between fries and crispy potatoes. The waiter enthusiastically recommended the crispy potatoes, which I then ordered.
We waited over 40mins for the food, however the restaurant was not busy and those that arrived after us receive their food before us.
When my plate arrived, the crispy potatoes seemed to be coated in breadcrumbs and therefore would NOT be gluten free. I tried to ask to the waiter again but he didn’t seem to understand, so eventually another waiter came over to confirm that yes the potatoes were NOT gluten free. :( They did bring out some fries immediately, however I was unable to eat half of the food due to the breadcrumbs.
My boyfriends burger was not nice at all, and he left half due to the poor quality of the burger patty. In the end we left quickly, disappointed and hungry.
Definitely NOT recommended for anyone with allergies as they cannot be catered for reliably.

Great food and some of the better service on Gili Air, right by the sea with the waves tipping over the deck on a high tide. A choice of tables styles, but solid Indonesian cooking is the key here. Loved the fish curry, and chef knocked up a super hot, fresh chilli sambal for an extra kick for me.

Nice view. In the evening you can sit under the stars
There are always lot of people, so you need to wait, but it's not a fast food.
Grilled fish is great and it is a huge set. Nice drinks.
Resto accepts credit card (additional 4%), which is not so obvious in Gili's restos.
Prices a bit higher then somewhere else, but maybe portions are bigger Did not check yet

I tried the other restaurants but this one was my favourite, good Staff and very good food at a good price. I will be going back to the Le Bistro when I return to Gili Air.

Food portions are small. I tried the burgers. Very bland taste. They rip you off on the cocktails, especially happy hour. Good views here, but most restaurants have a good view.

A bit overlooked from the mass of other offerings but definitely worth a visit. Good friendly service and very good food. Ask the barman to do a magic trick.
