Selat solo was superb. The ice cream was served together with the main course and it already melted when you finish your meal. So tell them in advance to serve the dessert after you finish your main course.

Small portions and affordable. Perfect for midgets, liliputs, and hobbits. For normal human beings, you need at least 2 portions, which somewhat negates the affordable-ness. But if you are a legitimate chow master, small portion menu allows you to devour 2-3 different dishes without ballooning your lower torso too much. Can't complain about the taste, but can't praise it either, except for their vanilla ice cream. Try it if you're not diabetic. It's a tad too sweet for my tastebuds, but the aroma is nothing less than spectacular.

This restaurant is crowded during lunch time and thus you must be ready to wait or to come before dining time. The food selection is Dutch style, with good price. I find the food is okay, but the service is quite slow.
You should try the ice cream, they are tasty and mouth watering :)

Old Skool menu but stil gives heart warming. A must visit restaurant when you stay in Solo. Try their Steak Lidah (Ox Tongue Steak), Salad Segar (Selat Solo/ Fresh Salad with beef and gravy), or Kroket (Croquette).

Affordable, simple, delicious. Legend. Been going here for years and still my favorite. My favorites are Selat Segar, Nasi Goreng, Steak Lidah, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Es Kelapa Muda Sirup.

If you can read this, then you should skip this place. I had a rubber band in my soup. I also couldn't really tell what meat they used in it. They replaced it but I lost my appetite already. The only good thing of this place is that it's dirt cheap. If you're stuck here, get the nasi goreng.

Must visit resto when you're in Solo. All the food are taste superb. Try risoles and kroket, small and dangerous! Best.
