I always love to see Shri Mariamman temple wherever they are. They always have the same iconic uniquely roofing temple which consists lots of colourful sculptures around it.
But this Shri Mariamman temple unfortunately different, the temple committee decided to paint the temple in gold this time, which I personally prefer the previous colourful one. This temple location just a walk on from SUN Plaza.

This temple is an important site for the Indian community in Medan, Northern Sumatra. The location is easy to reach. The sculptures are interesting but there are less information about the history and details within the temple itself, or it relatedness to the Indian community history in Medan.

A large Hindu temple in Medan.
This temple is lavishly decorated.
As you stroll along the road nearby, incense smell is prominent.
The walls around it are also decorated and nicely painted.
