The beach is beautiful but the bungalows are very basic, old, not hot water and bathrooms need to be refurbished. Not a good value for money.

Lombok is more quiet than Bali. About the Kontiki, the cottage itself is ok. It is not an expensive place to stay. What we like about Kontiki is the location.

Nice and relaxing placesituated at beachfront with a beautiful view overlooking Gili Air island and Lombok with its mighty Rinjani volcano.! Pure white sandy beach. Rooms are clean with aircondition but no hot water.

Mooie ligging, maar de rest is waardeloos. De kamer is ronduit vies. Er wordt alleen op verzoek gereinigd en de vloer was bij aankomst al niet schoon. Overal liggen resten van dode insecten die ondertussen door mieren worden opgeruimd. Op het bed lopen mieren, ook 's nachts. De klamboe zat bij aankomst verkeerd gemonteerd, zodat we de eerste nacht moesten behelpen om de klamboe mug-dicht te krijgen. Het bedlinnen is niet schoon. Ongetwijfeld wel gewassen maar er zitten ondefinieerbare bruine plekken her en der. De airco krijgt de kamer niet koel, dus je nachten zijn klam en je handdoeken drogen niet. De kamer ruikt onfris, de badkamer ruikt naar riool. Er is overigens alleen koud water.
Het personeel loopt geen stap harder dan nodig, tafels in het restaurant worden niet schoongemaakt en de kussens voor de ligbedden moet je zelf zoeken. De sapjes en het ontbijt zijn overigens prima, maar daar is niet veel aan te verknallen. Op het oog zijn de overige accomodaties op Gili Meno allemaal beter. Zelfs de stoep is bij Kontiki waardeloos en al jaren niet onderhouden. Het enige nieuwe hier is het naambordje bij de bar en het poortje wat je naar de krakkemikkige stoep leidt. Loop dus maar snel aan Kontiki voorbij!response / report this review -

Nice beach The food in the restaurant is ok and the staff is friendly. Most rooms are dated but relatively clean. Some extra maintenance in the bathroom would be welcome though. Our room was quite smelly when we arrived, but after leaving the door and window open for a few hours it was ok

The place looks ok, but the stuff at the reception is involved in fraud. There is a atm near which swallows all the foreign cards. The guy at the reception extorts 600 000 idr to return it. Never pay to the fraudsters!

Kontiki is the ideal Meno location. The best beach and snorkelling on all of the Gilli Islands in a beautiful tropical garden setting.Unsophisticated presentation but staff and beach make for an enjoyable stay. Only 400m to the harbour and other eating options. Mostly European guests.

Idyllisch Bounty-eilamdje. Ze bestaan dus nog. In een uur wandel je het eiland rond. Kontigi Cottages is een prima plek om te zijn, een stukje bij de drukte van het "haventje" vandaan, eigenlijk het laatste resort langs de zandweg die rond het eiland loopt. Daarna is er een tijdje niks als je rechtsaf het strand op loopt. Ontbijten doe je natuurlijk ook aan het strand.
Wij wilden er eigenlijk nooit meet weg.response / report this review
