Kampung Tarung is one of the biggest traditional village right in the heart of Waikabubak, West Sumba Region. The megalithicum grave stone, traditional houses, & the firm believers of Marapu are easy to find here. They keep the ancient heritage within their soul & the vibrant really touch everyone's heart. I highly recommed you to experience yourself the rich culture of Kampung Tarung.

A must-visit to understand the cultural past of the Sumba people - we had a great conversation with the village head who's still practicing his Marappu faith - but his close family practice other religions, Islam, Christianity and it reflects the place's unique blend of culture identity and being open to outside influence.

Salah satu kampung adat Sumba yg masih asri. Tetapi tetap harus didukung oleh program pemerintah pusat dan daerah. Mudah2an bisa masuk ke dalam program World Heritage UNESCO
