Nice location on the river with view of the Ampera bridge and it's illumination reflecting on the river. Food was good but not spectacular and the otherwise delicious fish soup really spicy for Caucasian palate. Good variety but nothing memorable.

As a native of Palembang, I must inform to non-natives that this place is not the real Kampung Kapitan, since Kampung Kapitan is actually a Chinese-Malay settlement which is located not far from this restaurant who take its name. Architecture is good, but since Palembang is not a tourist city and you need to spend a good amount of time and money to reach and eat in the restaurant which is in the opposite bank of the river, you can't expect the economy run good in this restaurant and fate of this place will be as same as the previous floating house restaurant which once occupied the same location.
