Great view, combination between dead forest because of eruption and white rock as land, you also can see the main crater, lake, and view below papandayan mountain feet.

I LOVE THIS DEAD FOREST. LIKE, IT HAS MY HEART. The views of dead branches and twig combined with white rocky sands and craters are just top notch. The place is best visited at sunrise. Super worth the climb. A must visit. You actually dont have to camp and spend the night here, if you want.

Papandayan is such a great hike with minimum effort. So many unique spots to explore within short distances. The Dead Forest is particularly noteworthy because of the dramatic view. Countless of petrified trees portray such an irony of how desolation can be so beautiful.
