This is the most incredible hotel. The breakfast spread is unlike anything I've ever seen. Great selection. The service is incredible at the hotel. Bicycles are easily accessible. Beachfront bar with incredible views with the most beautiful sunsets. The villas are in supreme condition. Gardens are immaculate.

The best hotel in Trawagen. The beach is right across from the hotel, offering amazing sunsets in the late afternoon. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to assist. The breakfast had the largest selection of any hotel I've been to before. Beautiful rooms with the island bungalow offering unique outdoor bathrooms. Exquisite!!!!!

Had an amazing stay at ombak sunset. We experienced spectacular sunsets every night, the swings were definitely a cool addition and great photo opp. Ombak Sunset is also very close to great snorkeling spots. However the room lacked natural light, we needed to use lights in the day time because it was so dark, and these lights were still very dim.

Beautiful and spacious rooms for a great price. Lovely breakfast and helpful staff all around. The pool has a great atmosphere but isn't so busy that you can't get a bed. The hotel is right on the beach so you can watch the sunset and enjoy happy hour cocktails. The only thing I didn't like was that it is on the other side of the island to the boat and the busy bars so we had to get a lot of horse and carts but I'd still recommend it.

I can’t find one redeeming thing to say about this hotel. Our stay was truly awful and I would never go back for any reason.

The hotel is far away from everything in terms of location, the room was dirty, broken and outdated (see our pictures of the disgusting shower head and cracked sink), the bed was really uncomfortable, the bed sheets were dirty. The kettle didn’t work properly and got so hot because it didn’t stop boiling on its own that I scolded myself. We spent the night barely sleeping because we were being eaten alive by mosquitos. The A/C didn’t work properly.

In the evening, they delivered a cake to our room while we were out (which we thought was a nice touch) and then came at midnight and asked for it back as they’d put it in the wrong room! Ridiculous!

We had to call for a room service menu because our room directory/menu was falling apart and incomplete, and the food that came was really bad in terms of flavour, texture and price.

There are much better places to stay for the same or a better price on Gili T (we paid €50 for our one night stay). Don’t waste your time here.

Beautiful spacious rooms for a great price. Lovely breakfast and helpful staff all around. The pool has a good atmosphere but it isn't so busy that you can't get a bed. The hotel is right on the beach so you can watch the sunset there and enjoy happy hour cocktails. The only thing I didn't like was that it is on the other side of the island to the boats and the busy bars and there are no cars on the island so we had to get a horse and cart every night but I'd still recommend it.

The hotel is really nice all the facilities very convenient, have options like spa, bicycle rental, swimming pool, the beach in front have one of the best spots for sunset photos in the island, people very kind and they provided a birthday cake for my girlfriend And the price was very good as well.

Really beautiful and a huge hotel. Their ambience is worth visiting with clean rooms and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff could be more friendly and welcoming. Their pool is huge with a nice bar at the end of it. Really a must visit in the evenings as it is very peaceful near the beach side.

One of beautiful, nice and coziest resorts in Gilli Trawangan. All the staff members will serve you with a smile and they will try their best make you happy. Very beautiful and natural resort to live in. As like premium resort foods and drinks are expensive but they're are not tasty. Would recommend to anyone who would like to visit Trawangan. Another think, if you know to ride a bicycle, than this will be a huge help to travel the island.

After spending three months in dozens of hotels throughout Southeast Asia, we spoiled ourselves and spent a couple nights at the beautiful Ombak Sunset. It's hard to find words to describe the perfection of this resort.

Every aspect of the Ombak Sunset made it a truly 5 star resort. The service was impeccable, with every staff member going above and beyond their duty to provide the best possible service. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well designed. We were in the deluxe terrace room and the garden area leading to the room was quite nice.

The pool is incredible. Just off the beach, it's made up of an Olympic pool and three smaller pools to the side. The complementary afternoon tea at the pool area is a nice touch.

The detached restaurant/bar on the beach offers strong cocktails and delectable dining options, I recommend the couples dinner special (a plethora of Indonesian specialties). They also show outdoor movies a few nights a week and we enjoyed a candlelight dinner while watching the new Fast and Furious.

I could go on and on about our amazing experience at the Onbak Sunset but it's easier just to tell you that if you're going to the Gili's, you must stay here!

This is quite literally paradise. Make you sure you get here before the secret of this side of the island and this magnificent hotel is out.

They have quite literally thought of every minute detail. Flowers on our bed, to cookies on your bedside table at night. They are incredibly friendly and of the myriad of hotels I have stayed at in my lifetime, this is one of the best. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, even for a honeymoon, and no one should pass up the opportunity to stay here if you want to unwind in luxury.

I had initial reservation about staying here as I was told Gili Trawangan is more of a party island but this resort is out the way and very tranquil. There is still plenty of activities on offer at the hotel. You won't be bored but you will still have peace.

From a lovely welcome at check in, to staff remembering your name, to a cute chocolate cake left in our room for our anniversary - who cannot give 5 stars. Morning and evening turn down service, the team here really do go above and beyond to make you feel happy, welcome and comfortable.

Had the BBQ on the beach. Small BBQ chicken and didn't give much leaving me to go up 4-5 times. Salad bar was good. Entertainment is what gives it the 3 stars though. They had traditional dancers one night we enjoyed and some live music that was pretty mellow and relaxing compared to some of the club type music played on the island at night.

Stayed for one night (thank goodness!) Front desk people were rude in blaming us that we made a mistake and saying that it's not their fault. This issue gave me a bad stay experience :( Also, I noticed that the staff are only nice to you because they want your tip. Location is not good! Very far from the main areas. Rooms were ok, bathroom smells like sewer. Breakfast was good.

One of comfy resorts in Gili Trawangan. Plenty of spacious rooms are available. It has a clean and well maintained olympic size pool. Just a view walks to the beach that offers a great spot for sunset viewing as well.

After riding bicycle along the way, I founded this place. It's quite far from the harbor but this place is perfect for sunset watching! Elegant vibe for relaxing at the beach, the food is good, super love their home made ice cream and seafood kebab!
They got 2 beach swings - those are such must spots to take pictures of-- plus they're so instagramable!

The food is good and provide a fantastic service. Although service is generally good in the island. You will have a good time here. Tip: if you want to use the chair next to the beach. You can use if you spend 100k for the food.

Good hotel with very helpful staff. Any problems resolved very quickly. Don't understand why people don't like the geckos. It's a tropical island, they are cute and they eat all the insects.

The pool was great, especially as they offer daily complimentary afternoon tea & cake at 4.30pm! The hotel grounds are big and well maintained. However, our room was filled with lots of dead and alive bugs/wasps. The hot water failed to work on our last day which was also slightly annoying.

Staff is like working elsewhere Wery lousy service and the worst thing is that it stated in booking engines as a 5 star hotel. I would rate it to be 3 stars only. Nice location, clean rooms, food under average, sleeping staff and seriously bad service or no service at the beach Only 6 shades on the whole beach 😤

You can watch sunset here, the place is not in crowded place so to go to the center of Gili Trawangan you can rent a bike. Food is good too. However the air conditioner didn't work when I stayed my first and second stays very dissapointed since the night could be hot, and the electricity often went out at night when there are many guests staying.

Overall 5 star experience. Nice for the romantic get away. 4 stars for allowing smoking in a public places, such as breakfast restaurant. Reception services were very helpful. Please be advised swimming in an ocean almost impossible, very shallow. Just outside of the hotel pubic (dirty) area which attracts flies to nearby restaurant. Swimming pool is huge!

This hotel is a big must if ever you want to visit The Gilis !!! Great hospitality, staff are amazing, big time huge pool, food is yummy, soa was relaxing, the free scyba dive lesson was one of a kind, the rooms are amazing, the wifi is great, the sunset is just stunning, little far from market but either you walk it for a 20 minutes or rent a bike from the hotel itself for a fare price and reach in less than 10 minutes last but not leastyou have to come and experience what me and my wife experienced !!!!

Old fashion room.
there was geckos in the room, even with the doors/windows closed
bathroom poorly preserved, with an unpleasant smell!
Bad bad bad internet service! The Wi-Fi was a shame
The Most of western food was fried and fatother way you just have indonesian spicy food!
We had a food infection, gastroenteritis..and just have ate at hotel!

the hotel is on the other side of the island, away from the tourist area. To go there and The village/harbour you need to go on The dunkey
Táxi, wich is very expensive, considering is a small travel and it is an animal exploration!
nevertheless it has a good sunset and the team was friendly!

But The beach was an disappointement ! You cant swim!! It has Rocks and The Water just reaches tour unckle.

The staff is friendly, the swimmingpool is very big and they have a bar were you can have drinks. The food in the restaurant is also delicious. The rooms are clean. You can go to the spa, rent a bike or you can go snorkeling and scuba diving. The office is next to the swimmingpool.

Very poor service. Food was pretty good and has a nice location.
Room cleanliness wasn't very good either, but I think the service here was a big let down.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the rudest manager - who because his English was not very good did not understand our request and proceeded to raise his voice to us. Not a great first impression. We booked a deluxe family room for three adults but they put us into the cheaper (and frankly disgusting) standard deluxe room. After having to pay extra for a third bed (prior to that he said that no rooms had three beds without paying extra - not what Expedia had said) we were finally into our correct room where we realised the bathroom had an apparently unfixable strong smell of sewerage and the aircon was like an asthmatic blowing through a straw. Overall Gili is amazing and the breakfast buffet was worth it but I would not recommend staying at Ombak unless you got a really really good deal. The rest of the staff were notably amazing and super helpful but ultimately the manager soured the whole experience.

We got a room 2 million rupiahs, and they gave it to someone else. We got the worst room, didnt have towels. And no extra bed. They apologized by giving the best room. A 7 million rupiah one. But then we had to move back to our rightful room

The extra bed was installed at 9 pm and we checked in at 2pm besides we had to call 3 times for the installation. They gave us a complimentary breakfast for ONE person after we complained, while there were three of us. Actually, we didn't want anything but the hotel should be more generous. Do they expect me to eat while my friend wait for me, hungry?

The hotel is located right on the beach and have the most beautiful sunset. The staff is very helpful and cleanliness is good. Breakfastbuffet could have a bigger selection of fruit.
